I Am Who God Made Me!

In 10 days I will be enlisting upon another wonderful birthday. Generally I use my birthday as a "half-time" so to speak. An opportunity to reflect on the past years, my current situation, and also readjust my focus if needed in order to accomplish any preset goals that are outstanding in my life for the rest of the year.

I'm sure this sounds like a lot, but it truly is not! I'm a thinker.

Stay Focused and Never Lose Your Faith...

After returning from deployment, I have found myself extremely busy. I am always amazed at how often I have traveled in just 6 months of being back in the U.S. Currently, I am in Mississippi and am preparing to head to San Antonio.

National Day of Prayer

Today is the National Day of Prayer (NDP). The theme for this year is "Prayer for Such a Time as This" and is based on Nahum 1:7  "The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him."

As we know, prayer is extremely important in our Christian walk, because it is communion with God. We experience a relationship with God through prayer. Prayer is talking with

Happy Cinco De Mayo

Today is the 5th day of May, and "Cinco De Mayo". Some people think May 5th marks Mexico's Independence Day, but it actually celebrates the Battala de Puebla in 1862, when Mexican forces defeated the French. Napoleon III's troops had invaded because the Mexican government was delaying debt payments, and though his army eventually was victorious, the battle at Puebla became a symbol of Mexico's

Detox

Have you ever thought about entering into a detox program? Maybe you've considered one day cleansing your body of all of the toxic things you have either eaten or drank over the past few years. Maybe your detox goes beyond just food and drink, but includes medications or items like cigarettes. But have you ever considered you may need to detox yourself from people, places, and/or things in your

Hello?!? Is Anyone There?

Today I experienced quite a few emotions, feelings, and thoughts. With this being the first weekend of the month, I had to perform my monthly duty as a Soldier, but I also somehow had a little time to reflect on some things that had escaped me momentarily.

I wanted to talk about why I started this blog a little over 2 years ago...

On March 11, 2008, I created, wrote, and posted my very first

April Showers Bring May Flowers...

As we say goodbye to the month of April, and hello to May...why not take a moment to reflect on what we have learned, and gained during this month?

Often we become caught up in our day to day activities and forget to leave any room for reflection. "...but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before," (Philippians 3:13, KJV)
