Svetlana Alexievich Earns 2015 Nobel Prize in Literature
Svetlana Alexievich, author of Voices from Chernobyl, Zinky Boys, and War’s Unwomanly Face, was announced today at noon, Swedish time, as the 2015 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature. The prize is worth $960,000. Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor's "Dust" Earns the Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature
The TextBook Centre Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature has honored Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor’s novel Dust with its Sh300,000 award. Dust was shortlisted for the 2nd Annual Folio Prize and longlisted for the inaugural F/T Oppenheimer Funds Emerging Voices Awards.
