Thanks for getting in touch!
My advice for young writers is pretty simple: Read like crazy. Write like crazy. Repeat.
Those are the main things. Reading can teach you everything from how to put together a sentence to how to tell a story. And writing, like any other skill, takes practice -- years and years and years of practice.
It's a lot of work. But if you want to be a writer, you probably love both reading and writing, so the work might not feel like work at all. :)
