What a Hullabaloo! it's the childrens poetry competition
I have just posted a free poetry competition for children aged 11 or under on my website.
Recently the children of Huntington Primary School in York worked with the book for a 2-week period in which some great poetry was written as a result.
This work contributed to the children’s key skills and all the poetry that was written by the children has been posted on my website for others to enjoy.
The inspirational response from the children was amazing and they thoroughly enjoyed writing their own stories in my style of poetry.
Due to the fantastic response from Huntington Primary, I decided to make this a competition with a difference.
I have written the first 3 verses of a poem, and all the children have to do is finish off the story by adding up to 10 verses of their own.
The children responded very well to working in this way at Huntington and hopefully the children who enter this competition will have a fun time with their creativity.
This is a free worldwide competition with signed books for the winners and all poetry entered will be published on the website for the world to see.
