Words We Hate to Love

Are you like me?

Before you say "Hell no!" and run away, let me explain. As a writer of erotic fiction, I'm constantly making word choices. That's true of any writer, of course, but we in the erotica field are often making word choices to elicit certain reactions--we want to turn people on, or, at very least, NOT turn them off.

There are so many words to choose from when we're describing body parts or physical acts, and I'm sure we all have our go-to words. I tend to go with "cock" for penis...

It's e-book Week! Read "Kandinsky's Shirt Button"

In honour of "Read an e-book Week" I'd like to get a little plug in for one of my lesser-known works. KANDINSKY'S SHIRT BUTTON is one of those falling-in-love-with-a-call-girl stories we all love so much. I don't know if it's the idea of saving a woman from her fate that appeals to us, or the intrigue of the profession, or even our need to see the beauty inside people who are commonly trod upon by society at large. Whatever the reason, we all love a good story about a quirky guy and an ele...

It's Read an e-book Week!

That's right! All this week, we're encouraging ourselves and each other to read e-books! E-books not only help save the environment, but help save you money and space. They're also convenient to purchase any time you're in front of a computer or cell phone, and delivery is usually automatic!

So, which e-book am I proposing you read today? Why, that would be my latest release: SWEETHEART ROLANDO from Xcite e-books! Do you like shape-shifters? Well, meet the world's one and only cock-sucki...

Lesbian Love and Six of the Best Spankings

Hello all!

One of my favourite erotic lesbian stories "Painted Nails and Puppy Dog Tails" appears in a brand new anthology called "Lesbian Love: A Collection of Six Erotic Stories" from Xcite ebooks. It's got a cute cover too.

Painted Nails and Puppy Dog Tails by Giselle Renarde

Claire is more snips and snails than painted nails, but she's willing to make an exception for the gorgeous girl who works in the salon down the street. Hell, she hasn't stopped thinking about her since that day

Some Pretties for my Peeps

Allo Allo,

I've got some new covers for my 2010 eXcessica releases, so I'm just going to open my trench coat and show you. LOL. I'm not even going to be Canadian about it and ask, "Would you like to see?" You probably recognize the "Ondine" cover anyway, since the audiobook is already on the market AND I use that image on my Twitter account.
Enjoy!

Ondine by Giselle Renarde
An erotic journey through the worlds of ballet, art, and passionate liaisons, Ondine is a sensual exploration of pansexu...

Quick Six Interview with S.J. Frost

1. Hi! Welcome to Donuts & Desires. Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?
SJF: Steamy m/m erotic romance. I've had a couple m/f pieces published, but m/m is where my heart's at.

2. What are you reading right now?

SJF: Is it bad that I'm not reading anything? I can't read when I'm in the middle of working on a manuscript and I'm writing a new one now. It's some kind of weird quirk. I've got a ton waiting for me to read; Neil Plakcy, Rick R. Reed, Z.A...

Do You Remember Your First Time?

Do you remember the first piece of erotic fiction you ever read?

I do.

At University, I took a course in sexual diversity studies. Censorship was on the syllabus. We studied the case of the Little Sister's Bookstore in Vancouver. As part of our studies, we were assigned to read a short work of erotica that appeared in one of the books stopped at the border.

The book was "Macho Sluts." The story was "The Surprise Party" by Pat Califia. It's about a lesbian who's picked up by three gay cops, ...

Faithful John and the Dungeon Ravens

Holy Guacamole, Batman!

I have a new release...and it only costs £0.99!!!

Faithful John and the Dungeon Ravens from Xcite Books is a smoking-hot BDSM-dungeon adaptation of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale called "Faithful John" (Ever heard of it? No? Well, never mind. That part doesn't matter. What does matter is that it is a hot HOT read. Did I mention it was HOT? Yeah, that too.)

Faithful John and the Dungeon Ravens

The queen's untimely death leaves her son in charge of the brothel-like castle...

Quick Six Interview with Morgan Ferdinand

1. Hi Morgan! Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?

Generally, M/M supernatural comedy/romance/adventure.

2. What are you reading right now?
"Death Masks" -- book five in the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, "Night Shift" by Lilith Saintcrow, "Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies" by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith... and I think that's all right now. It's not unusual for me to have five books on the go at once.

3. I hear music in the background. What' s playing?
