Getting that Spark Back for Valentine's Day

Brand new relationships have that magical spark where you just can't get enough of each other. You're going along great and before you know it, years have passed. Marriage, careers and maybe even kids have entered your lives. Somewhere along the way you lost that spark.

Perhaps you didn't though. Perhaps it's just been placed on the backburner to sizzle while other things were placed on the front. Think about it. When you start a relationship everything else is placed on to the side or even...

Mood Lighting for Valentine's Day

For excellent, romantic, Valentine's Day sex, lighting is essential.

1. Under thirty -- the more light, the better.

2. Over thirty -- go for mood lighting -- indirect and soft.

3. Over seventy – It doesn't matter. Be grateful you can still find the switch.

Have a great and romantic Valentine's Day!

Kiernan Kelly

Quick Six Interview with PD Singer

1. Hi there! Welcome to Donuts & Desires. Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?

PDS: My stories are mostly m/m contemporary - romance isn't quite right, romance/adventure? Adventure /romance? The guys do get down for some lovin' but the action is as important as the relationship. My "Mountain" stories are set in the Colorado high country and the characters work in a national forest as rangers or at a ski resort. I did sneak an m/m pirate story in there -...

Sweet's Simple Secret to Eating Pussy

Finally, after years of trying, I've been successful in prying out Sweet's secret to eating pussy. It was very much lodged in a certain orifice (okay, her mouth) and it took some doing, but I got it out.

Sorry if this is TMI, but my girl eats pussy like you would not believe. She has skills. She has talent. If pussy eating were an Olympic sport, she'd bring me home the gold! I have never come so hard in my life as I have with her face between my legs.

In the past, every time I've asked her...

An Invitation to Get Down!

As we meander through winter in search of Valentine's Day heat, some of our favourite authors are on tap with advice about sex, relationships, love...all that good stuff. The first tip comes from the one and only Barrie Abalard!

A lot of men like to be asked to have sex by their wives or lovers. If it's your style to be the pursuer, create or purchase an inexpensive card (blank inside) to invite him to get down with you on V-day. Make the invitation as explicit (or not) as you want. Then...

Quick Six Interview with Kathryn Scannell

1. Hi Kathryn! Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?

KS: So far I've published M/M and M/M/F erotica, mostly in an urban fantasy setting. I've also just done a short M/M historical set in 1904 Ireland. I'm also working on an urban fantasy thriller, with very little in the way of romance.

2. What are you reading right now?

KS: Regenesis by C. J. Cherryh.

3. I hear music in the background…what's playing?

KS: My tastes are pretty eclectic. Lately I've been listening ...

Step Away from the Internet

I'm off to spend a week with my Sweet, which means limited internet access. Probably for the best. The internet is hugely distracting as I try to write. I'm obsessed--addicted perhaps--to checking my email, website stats, Twitter...anything! It's bad.

But there's exciting news on the Donuts & Desires front. Very soon, some of your favourite authors will be taking over to share their Valentine's Day advice! Love, sex, romance, relationships--sexy and silly stuff. It's going to be scary a...

Burn the Dictionary!

*sigh*

I just heard a news story about parents insisting their children's grade 4/5 teacher remove the dictionary from their classroom to prevent students from looking up inappropriate words. "Oral sex" was their main concern.

I'm not saying every tidbit of knowledge is appropriate for every age group (hell, kids should definitely not be reading my work) but for goodness sake, people, children are curious little beggars. They're going to find out about these things one way or another and if t...

Interview with Kiernan Kelly

1. Hi Kiernan! Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of stories you write?

KK: I write gay romance in almost every genre – historical, contemporary, paranormal...you name it and I've probably written at least one story in it. I currently have seven novels and a plethora of shorter works available.

2. What are you reading right now?

KK: At the moment, I'm re-reading Lisa Marie Moning's Highlander series. Fabulous stuff, even if it is straight romance. LOL

3. I hear music in the...
