A Is For Aliens

My theme for the April 2012 A to Z Challenge will be centered on Goldilocks Zone: A region of space where stellar and other conditions favor life. It's the habitable zone that's "not too much" or "not too little" that would otherwise make conditions impossible for life. Rather, it is the zone that is "just right," where liquid oceans and a thick atmosphere exist. Our good ol' planet earth lies in just a Goldilocks zone, where life can not only exist, but flourish. Review of 17 Degrees by Larry Seeley

In July 2010 I had the pleasure to read and review Larry's first book Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves. You can read the review HERE. I was very excited when Larry asked me to read and review his second book 17 Degrees.

Synopsis: Seventeen degrees, three minutes North—the latitude of the border that separates Juarez, Mexico from El Paso, Texas—for all practical purposes, one city with two souls. 17 Degrees begins and ends in the barrancos of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains north of Santa Fe with...

Roundup Time

Well, it's over. The Grand OPENING Tour is finished and it was a smashing success! Thank you all for your support. I could not have accomplished this without you.

My last Virtual Blog Tour in November 2010 for BREAKTHROUGH I did 16 stops in 19 days. That was exhausting. This time I spread 15 stops over two months. I have to admit, I'm exhausted. Regardless of the length of a Blog Tour, it's a lot of work!

If you feel so inspired, check out the list of tour stops and revisit your favorite...

The Final Stop! Supernovas And Black Holes!

Hey folks, this is it! The final stop on the Grand OPENING Tour! Fifteen stops covering two months to celebrate the release of my near future realistic sci-fi action thriller OPENING, and the follow up to BREAKTHROUGH. Today we're going retro and using the time machine from H.G. Wells The Time Machine to travel over to Misha Gericke's blog My First Book for the next couple of days. Had to borrow it from the guys at The Big Bang Theory. Thanks Dr. Sheldon!

And Thursday is my birthday, and...

Off To The Pearson Report

Hi everyone, as always thanks for stopping by and hope you all had a fun and safe St. Patrick's Day Weekend.

Today we are on the second to the last stop of the Grand OPENING Tour and we are headed off to Jenny Pearson's blog the The Pearson Report where we end this tour with Part I of just how efficient our universe is. And this is kind of a segway into the theme for what I'll be doing for the A to Z Challenge.

Okay, for those who watched the movie Contact, we all know the first ... and its...

Bits and Pieces and The Weekend Follies Harry Potter Style

The Local Library: I asked the good people at the local library how many times my book has been checked out. The first version of BREAKTHROUGH was taken out 23 times and the second version was checked out 27 times with 4 renewals. So it pays to donate or have your local library carry your book! Now to get OPENING in there. I'm wondering if other bloggers have their books in their local libraries.

Speaking of BREAKTHROUGH, I've seen a nice resurgence in sales since the release of OPENING. In...
