TK Toppin Interview
Joining us today is author TK Toppin. Here is TK's Bio: I was born and raised in Barbados where I currently live with my husband. For the last twenty-odd years, I have been working as a freelance graphic artist. My world has only ever orbited around that field. Writing has always appealed me and it's something that I would eventually like to do full-time in the future. Early in 2008, after whining about it, a friend said to just do it. So, I decided to just jump right in and make a start. Th...

How true should you be to your characters?
This is a question I've been asking myself for several months now in light of a new project I'm working on. You can read the first four chapters by clicking on the link in the sidebar. A Familiar Evil is undoubtedly one of the toughest stories I've attempted to write. My main characters are not Christians and are currently separated in marriage. I don't want to offend my readers, but at the same time I feel (after careful prayer and consideration) that I must be true to my characters. So ther...

Melanie Atkins Interview
Joining us today is Melanie Atkins. Melanie is a multi-published author of romantic suspense, a fan of crime dramas, and an avid reader. Writing is more than an escape for her—it's a way of life. She grew up in the Deep South listening to tall tales and penning stories about her cats. Now she writes gripping stories of love, suspense, and mystery with the help of her furry little feline muses.

My Summers at Thunderbird Speedway
I'll begin with a little history about the legendary Thunderbird Speedway, in Muskogee Oklahoma. It originally started out as a horse track way back in the 1910's. It didn't become an actual speedway until the late 1950's. It was one of the only 1/2 dirt tracks in the region. Every Friday afternoon drivers from the tri-state area would pull into the pits at Thunderbird, unload their late model race cars and begin to tune them up and get them ready for a night of racing on the oval dirt track....

Book Signing was a success!
Today I had my first book signing in two years and sold out of books in two hours, and spent the next hour taking pre-paid orders. Wow! The book signing was hosted by the Phoebe Circle of the United Methodist Church and was held at the beautiful Coffee Loft in Garnett KS. Friends I hadn't seen in years stopped by, and I made some new ones. I have to be honest though, I was a nervous wreck. I'm normally a pretty shy person, so to be thrust out there in the lime light, so to speak, is a pretty ...
