Reflections and Predictions
Wow. What an amazing year this has been for me. I had some great visits with family, my relationship with my partner continues to improve upon perfection, we've all had good health, and I feel like I learned a heap over the past twelve months.

An update from under a foot of snow
Hello Mollys and Coles, Anlyns and Edisons, Walters and Handheld Computers. This update in the life of Hugh Howey is brought to you by the largest December snowfall in Boone's collective memory. Not that there hasn't been bigger ones, but anyone alive today, that was also alive back then, no longer has the cognitive functioning [...:]

Molly Fyde and the Land of Light
Okay, the manuscript has been turned into a book. That means the pages are laid out, the formatting is just the way I want it, I have the splash pages and maps in place, the headers and footnotes look good, and the page numbers are down in the corners, happy as little ticks in a [...:]

Book two is wrapped up
MOLLY FYDE AND THE LAND OF LIGHT is done. The messy bits of turning a story into a book are about to begin, hopefully culminating in a purchasable product sometime in February.
Meanwhile, I return to book three, the draft of which is about 80% done. I'm so excited for you guys to read the next [...:]

The Perfect Holiday Gift!
Give the gift of Molly this year! Trust me, they'll be glad you did.

NaNoWriMo WrapUp
Well, it's really, really official: I won NaNoWriMo 2009 (along with tens of thousands of others).
I uploaded my manuscript to their official word-count bots, and after they did their number-crunching thingy, I was directed to a page with the following graphic:
