What I’m Doing This Summer–Teaching AP Lit

The Worst: Planning next year’s AP Literature course. Ugh. I’m taking an online course with UCLA which is helping with this daunting task. But still, it’s working during the summer. Aren’t teachers supposed to have off?

The Best: Two weeks at the beach and a week at Sea World!

Writing: Working on a new Amish story and two other suspense possibilities.

An Easy Summer Pasta Dish

So, it’s too hot to even think about grilling today!!!

Cork screw pasta. Cook and drain. Then saute asparagus and red pepper in grade seed oil. Season to taste. Toss in pasta. So easy and light.

Trail Ride

The pony I’m on wanted no part in the photo opt but a gorgeous weekend here in central Virginia. I wish I had taken photos the entire time because we rode through one beautiful estate after another. Fabulous! Can’t wait to go again.

Another Reader Review for Plain Secrets

FANTASTIC STORY! I loved it from beginning to end. You did a wonderful job of combining Elijah’s duty as a cop with the Amish culture. It was terrific. I’m glad that Elijah was able to rejoin the Amish and that he and Hannah will be married. Even though it was sad for Jessica to die like she did, it was wonderful to find out she had stayed true to her faith and was trying to protect and help Abigail. I can’t say enough good things about this story. I hope you continue to write for LI Suspense for many, many years to come.
