Why I Dig It~ 5
Got to talk about my love of horror and why it is my favorite thing to write. Well, to be honest, I really don't know why it's my fav but I can tell you I dig the shit out of anything horror based. If I can chop, slice, dismember, gut, decapitate, beat the crap out of the bad guys and then do all of the above to them then I am one happy camper..LOL I also dig writing things that put chills up the spine, like stories about haunted houses, old building, cursed land or tales of folk-lore.
Some of my stories come from places that I have been or seen as I was driving by, while others come from a single thought that could be about a bug or even a tree branch blowing in the wind. That would be how Roots of Evil came to life and a group of camper's lost their lives when a wicked tree in the middle of a pond, ate them. ; ) Guess they should have paid more mind to the 'No Trespassing' sign..LOL All in all I have written over 70 short horror stories and one sweet one that is still posted on Author Danielle Steels' beauty site, that was placed there from a contest I was in where I came in 5th out of thousands when I first started writing. That made me feel pretty good, but I haven't written a sweet story since. : ) Nope, the rest are as warped as I could make them!
You can find one of my stories that are shared in part weekly on Author Savannah Rayne's blog on Wednesdays, that will also go into one of my short story novels later down the line. So far I have two with my publisher at Hellfire Publishing and I have enough to put together two more books. Maybe more. ; ) I just happen to be one of those writers who can look at a blank page and see a story come to life with little to no research, unless of course, it has something to do with folk-lore.
All I know is my life would sure be boring if I had to write nothing but contemporary...But thankfully we as author's can write whatever the hell we want no matter if it isn't like by anyone out there and that is why I dig today's post. Well, I guess I should say this weeks post because once again I have to go out of town, but I am taking my laptop and will do my best to blog about Why I Dig It~ 6 if I have the time?

Why I Dig It 3
Sex...How we write about it in our novels!
Some like to get very graphic while some like myself like to keep it a bit mild. However, I do get a little on the hot and heavy side, without the whole 'let's get into the porn' side of things.
There can be mad passion, without the many visuals having to explain all that goes on between the lovers. How big it is, how hot it is or how wet things have become..LOL And yet, if written well, all will get the whole mental view.
Things can be so hot the lovers never make it to the bedroom...nope they are nude before they even make it up the stairs and locked in a rush of heated romance right there and then...but does one really need to describe what hangs and coming at what waits? To this writer, I don't think one has to, to get the point across...no pun..LOL
I personally love to read a great book about romance, be it a paranormal novel or contemporary as long as the sex scenes are not written like some sloppy, graphic porn movie put into word. Passion in bed can be a beautiful thing to read about if well written. No, I am not saying that I write it well, because I have a lot to learn about writing the sexual side of a romantic scene, but I have read some amazing work where the author did not go into graphic details, describing the bits and parts and what they were doing...as is using words that are found in porn. 'He shoved his **** deep inside her *****' like really....I think most would get that idea.
But...to each his own! There will always be readers who do not like to read porn, and there will always be readers who love it. I for one will always be one of the writers who will keep her work as clean as she can, with still giving her readers some hot steamy sex. True, I will not talk about the ins and outs of the private parts, but I may mention how endowed a character may be, and how his mates warmth is waiting that manhood...but that is about as graphic as this writer can force herself to get. ; )
Sex is a very natural thing and something that has always been a part of human nature...and it always will be. I think it rocks that we can have our own blogs to talk about whatever we want on this and any other subject and that is why I dig this post!

Howdy to all that read this silly blog.....yeah, I know I am pretty much talking to myself in here..LOL BUT, at least it is one place I can talk to myself and not get called a fruit cake, right! ; p
I can do anything on MY blog that I want...I can cuse, I can complain, I can sob because my sites are acting up again and I really wanted to comment on my peep's post..LOL Hell, I can even post 'funny, sexy, nasty, cartoon' photos. I can jabber on about my books or what I'm working on right now. I can tell all about my day and the funny HaHa's that went on in it....I guess I could fill page after page after page with crap that I've already lived, been through, or already know I'm gonna be doing. Really...I have pages to leave that sort of thing posted on. Surly I can come up with something more interesting to post on my blog if it will be me, that I am keeping entertained..LOL
I really dig the trailers that Jen Ratajczyk ..aka.. Savannah Rayne created for my Bloodbreeder books, one and two. And that's why I'm making this my first 'why I dig it' post. ; )
Have a great day and Big Hugs to all who stop by...I am so going to start having fun on this here blog and just do whatever the hell hits me, whenever it hits me. I want to enjoy everything I see when I come back in here to add a little more...just in case I do end up being the only one hanging...I want to kick back and enjoy the scroll..LOL

Hope you all had a Wonderful Holiday~
Hello all...
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are now getting ready to have an even better Christmas!
I drove up and over the mountain to spend the holiday with my hubby and his family and it was truly wonderful. He has been living with his mother since his father past away, five months ago from lung cancer, and we now know that his mother has cancer and will be starting her treatment this coming week. I cannot help but to have a broken heart for my hubby, because his is breaking for the love of his mother who is now going through the same torment that his father just suffered and bravely lost the battle to.
We will do everything in our power to make sure that she has a wonderful Christmas, with every hope and prayer that the treatments do not effect her until the Holiday is over. They have told her without the treatment, a year will be her best hope, but with them she will have a 50/50 chance of living much longer. My worse fear is my mother in law becoming ill with the harsh treament of trying to contain the cancer...my concern is keeping her comfortable and happy.
May we all have a comfortable and happy holiday this year and many years to come!!!
Big Hugs with much Love to you all~

Sharing a few photos of the 2012 Undead Con Conference and Anne Rice Wolf Gift Ball
I had a blast at the Anne Rice Wolf Gift Ball and the Undead Con in New Orleans this year! 2012 held by the ARVLFC with the very amazing Suzie Q...
I cannot tell you how many people in my family does not believe me when I tell them how old this woman is...because she looks 20 years younger and I have yet to find out her secret. ; ) She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!
Collie James, author of: The Forgotten is also an actor and one of the coolest people that I have ever met. We were on the Undead Con Conference Panel together and it absolutely ROCKED!!!
I was like "WOW" it's Lewis Aleman!!! He signed a book for my daughter and I was all super happy..LOL And so was Kysha when she got it. He is the author of The Anti-Vampire Tale...and he was just soooooo nice!!!!
I was so happy to see Jyl again this year...She is one of the coolest chicks I have ever met and is always so pleasant to be around. I think she is beautiful and makes one hell of an intriguing Vampire! Those who follow my site have seen her photos up from last years Ball.
OMGoodness...I met THE Allan Gilbreath of Kerlak Publishing and who is an author himself. We signed a book for each other and I was doing my Snoopy dance. But when I first found out who he was it was hard to let go of his hand..LOL *Blush* I think we hit it off and I will be sending him a piece of my work to check out. I told him I would be getting my foot in the door. ; ) And he told me to send it in!!! WooHoo!!!
My table at the Undead Con!
Some truly wickedly wonderful ladies at the Ball~ And they all look amazing!
Two of my very best friends: Author Christie Silvers to the left and Tammy Heidenheimer to the right...Tammy has been my best friend since we were in the third grade and she is always there when I need her. Christie is my inspiration and has been since the first year that I became a writer... and I was so proud to see her in New Orleans!!!
I took most of these photos from the VIP area upstairs, where Christie Silvers, Tim her husband, and her sister and her hubby....along with Tammy and a few of my peeps, Dale Morgan and Tommy Morgan, had our drinks...and who came to show me their support and that just rocked my world. It is always good to see family and friends go that extra mile to be there. And some of them drove over 15 hours to get there. : ) Many thanks to them all!!!
Saints of Ruin had the people going wild with their music!!!
Just some really great pics of the Ball and the peeps that had some amazingly rockin' outfits on...There was no way that I could have picked a favorite~ The two things that look like red eyes glowing...is really red horns on this guys head..LOL Way cool!
People watching the band while I was taking pics of them..LOL
Tammy and Dav at the Ball. She saw him and had to have her photo taken with him. I thought he looked really cool as well!!!
Just some more amazing outfits at the Ball...Everyone was having a great time and the Bands were out-standing!!!
Peace out..LOL I will be sharing a whole lot more photos when they are sent to me. I have pics of the owners of Savage Light Studios, and info about what they have going on right now. I have some fun photos of the 'Meet and Greet' on the boat...and then just some goofy ones of me getting ready to go have fun with everything that Sue and Cher had planned for us.
I am so grateful to once again be apart of something so wonderful as the events held in New Orleans by the ARVLFC...This year was over the top! I hope to be able to go back for years to come and always donate my work for the good that they do with the raffle funds.
Happy Hallow's Eve and Big Hugs~
Happy Halloween~

Not once in her life did farm girl Renee Crocker, imagine she would encounter a world found only in the minds of myth-seeking men. Although the things they sought were not always unheard of in the 1930’s in other parts of the world, life was just too harsh in the small Texas community, to pay mind to anything other than raising a healthy crop to ensure the survival of one’s family. But late one evening during supper, a stranger comes knocking on the door of the Crocker family farm house and is invited inside.
It doesn’t take long for Renee to discover a great number of things that people in her neck of the woods couldn’t even contemplate. The dark of night takes on a whole new meaning, and the once vulnerable young country woman finds herself struggling to survive in a world that demands she live forever in darkness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read!
By Jennifer Malone Wright
Format:Kindle Edition
When I first began Bloodbreeders: Living in Darkness I really didn't know what to expect. I sat down to read it and the first forty pages or so I read at a normal pace, after that I could barely put it down. I even read the darn thing while I was walking on my treadmill!
This book is about a farm girl named Renee Crocker who is changed into a creature of the night by a stranger who visited their farm. Renee, being recently changed is quite naive of their ways, but she is also headstrong and brave.
This is not one of those books that you read when something almost happens to someone and then they suddenly get away or they are all the sudden saved before the bad thing happens. Believe me, bad things happen in this book. There were so many times when I found myself cringing in expectation even as I turned the pages anxiously.
Robin Renee Ray takes you on a journey with Renee Crocker and makes you feel like you are right there with Renee. I really liked the storyline and how her vampires are a bit different from your average that you read about. In this book though, the word vampire isn't found anywhere. So I will say creatures of the night.
However, as much as I enjoyed the story I was quite upset when I got to the last page. It's freaking wide open for the next book. I mean there is no way this book is a stand alone because there will be another one. There has to be! When the next in the Bloodbreeders series comes out I will be one of the first in line to see if Renee gets what she is after.
5.0 out of 5 stars Ann Rice readers will Love!
By Close Encounters with the Night Kind
Format:Kindle Edition
Robin Renee takes us on a dazzling journey through the growth of the recently turned vampire Renee Crocker. Leading a sheltered life on a small farm, Renee was unprepared for the beautiful stranger that showed up at her parents house. It wasn't uncommon for people to stop by for a few days or even stay on a whole season to work the fields. Her father never turned anyone away and had a bunk house set up for travelers. But in her 26 years of life, no one had ever stirred anything in her like Martin. Dressed in a suit, unlike most of the travelers, he shows up one night just as the family is sitting down for dinner. He politely declines the invitation to dinner only wishing to rest for the night. Renee is sent to the bunkhouse to bring him a plate and some blankets. She is hypnotized by his presence and stutters nervously as she hands him the items with a blush developing on her cheeks. Martin is enchanted and recalls what brought him here in the first place. He has big plans for this small town beauty. Its just too bad he can't tell her til after hes done.
This was a really great book. I was sucked into the plot just from the prologue and couldn't wait to get started. And once I started the book, I couldn't put it down! It takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride..you laugh ..you cry..your heart breaks, then bleeds and finally starts getting put back together again. Robin Renee does a great job of creating a whole new world of vampires for readers to get lost in! Ann Rice fans need to point their radar this way!
Renee thought she had gone through the worse nightmare that any being could possibly dream up; little did she know that her adventure had just begun. Her intentions were to go back to Cuba and fulfill a promise made to the two that helped her escape the unbelievable hell that had become her life from the days of loving care back on the farm.
What she finds changes her destiny and places her path on one that was only found in the mind and tales of the ancient profits. Of course, the question remains, will she be able to fulfill the needs that have taken hold of what little heart she had left? Can the faith of a country girl with the help of those who would follow her into hell itself be enough, or will they find themselves in a situation that they cannot get out of? Reviews: 5.0 out of 5 stars review for books 1 & 2 By terri dion Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified PurchaseIf your looking for another vampire love story you have come to the wrong books. These ARE NOT the fun, romantic, or happily ever after books that everyone loves to read. They are about the horrible and demented side of the vampire community. They are about human (vampire) trafficking, sex slaves, torture to the sickest extent in the vampire world and Renee Crocker the girl who decided to take it all down. Along the way she finds the family she needs help her in her personal quest as well as fill the void of the one she left in her old human life.
As soon as i started reading Living in Darkness i knew i wouldn't be able to put it down. I felt so bad for Renee and everything she had to endure that i just couldn't wait to get into The Revenge knowing by just the name of the book that Renee would come back and set all wrongs in that part of her world right not just for her but for everyone who has a ever suffered from the same fate that she has.
Robin Renee Ray ROCKS!! I love what she has created in these books. Her characters are so wonderfully written you can't help falling in love with the heroes and truly hating the villains. I wanted to dive into the book and do something to help. lol I screamed at the book and cried right along side Renee. It's a very dark story but also a very powerful story of bravery and survival. If you haven't already picked up your copies of the books you should they are amazing reads and you won't be disappointed. 5.0 out of 5 stars Bloodbreeders 2, Christie Silvers (Chatsworth, GA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Bloodbreeders: The Revenge (Kindle Edition) Another exciting adventure with Renee and her crew/family of Bloodbreeders. This time it's revenge against her perverted captors in book 1 that fuels her passion. Renee knows how to get the job done. I'm looking forward to more from the Bloodbreeders series. ....................................................................... Book 3 will be coming soon...I will be heading to the place where it all began and the Bloodbreeders came to life, Burkett Texas to write book 5 very soon. I will be writing two swing books about two of the main characters, Jacob and Martin (Marteen) as well... they are my favorites and both have a very interesting story to tell. I truly thought the main books would end with 5 books but I believe the series will flow over into several more other than the swing books, and I look very forward to creating them. Have a wonderful evening and Big Hugs
