the galleys are here!!

There is something so thrilling about seeing a new book in print for the first time! The galleys for my forthcoming yound adult novel, Strays, arrived in the mail over the weekend! My kids (boys, 5 1/2 and 9) seemed equally enthused. I can now start sending out these copies for early reviews and my May 15th publication date is getting closer by the minute....

editing services
Don't know what to do with that draft of a novel or short stoy sitting on your desk?
I can help you with that!
I am available to read and critique your short fiction and novel-length fiction. I am open to other genres of writing as well. I hold an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of British Columbia and an M.A. in English from Cal State Los Angeles. I spent five years as a college instructor in Los Angeles.
A critique would include line edits in the body of your text as well as a two-page critique on more global aspects of the piece of work. There would also be the opportunity to hold a further dialogue and ask any follow up questions.
Please email me at writing@caloyeras.com and write CRITIQUE in the subject of the email if you wish to inquire about my competitive rates or if you'd like references from previous clients!
