New Beginnings

Change is the one constant in this world, and as we move into 2013, I have a big announcement to make.

I am no longer the Managing Editor for Night Shade Books. Over the past five years, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing authors, artists, and designers, bringing captivating, engaging, fantastic stories to hungry readers everywhere. Through editing novels and collections, coordinating annual and special anthologies, and putting together my own The Book of Cthulhu anthologies, I have learned a great deal, and made lifelong connections with some of the most creative people—and one of the most welcoming communities—I have ever encountered.

For me, 2013 is all about new beginnings. I look forward to this change as a chance to not only allow time for my own writing again, but also test the publishing waters myself with some exciting new projects and ideas. The overwhelmingly positive response I've received to my recently published rock-and-roll novella Chick Bassist (Lazy Fascist Press) has encouraged me to refocus my energies in new ways. There will be more announcements here in the future as things progress, but please keep in touch, as I hope to work with many of you again in the coming year. You can reach me at ross@haresrocklots.com

Sincerely,

Ross E. Lockhart
