Trilogy now in one volume

New interview and an update
And here's another of my very rare blogs on here. I'm not good at this :)

On the writing front, I am currently focused on my SF novel, The Wizards Of Yradion. Progress is slow but reasonably steady. Currently in that sticky middle part where things have been set up, and I know in broad terms the end which I'm working towards, so it needs to be kept moving, progressing the story towards the climax, building the characters and keeping it interesting. You know, it's a lot easier writing the beginning and the end of a novel than it is the middle!
Currently on hold, because of the focus on TWOY, but very much underway is the second DCI Emily Sanders novel, the follow up to Eyes Of The Raven.
Unless I get completely stuck on TWOY and need to take a break, work on Emily's novel will have to wait until TWOY is finished. But it is currently next in line.

Final part available now
The final part of The Szuiltan Trilogy is now available - title, The Offfspring, available in paperback and kindle versions on Amazon, various other ebook versions on most other ebook sites (courtesy of Smashwords). The trilogy took longer to write than I expected, with large gaps between books, but it is now done. I hope some of you, at least, enjoy it.

2 New Stories
You can read two new stories from me this month. The first is my story "Assassin On The Seventy-Fourth Floor" which appears in the Crimson Streets #3: 'anmesty' and Other Tales. Unfortunate typo in the word "amnesty", but never mind :) At the present moment, available only in paperback, but the kindle version should be available from Wednesday 27th June 2018.
Also available now, on kindle, is my story Vampire Worms, appearing as part of Grinning Skull Press's Grave Marker series. Very pleased to be part of this.

The Lightship (short story) is included in The Best Of British Science Fiction 2016 anthology from NewCon Press, due to be launched on July 8th.
And last, but by no means least,

NEW RELEASE!
My latest work is a novella, and my first time with zombies (despite writing horror for over 40 years!). It's the first in a series of novellas, with the overall title of The Givers Of Life, all set in the same world but not always with the same characters. I consider them linked rather than direct sequels.

Wonderful read
Judas Tree by Simon ClarkMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Judas Tree is not only one of the best Simon Clark books I've read, but one of the best books I've read in a long time. Don't expect gory, in-your-face horror from this one, it's a delightfully slow, eerie, atmospheric tale with characters you genuinely care about or, in one case for me, dislike intensely. Beautifully written. A must read for lovers of wonderfully crafted literature of any genre.
