Why Crime Fiction Noir
I had always wanted to write crime fiction in the noir sub category. I have been a long time fan of pulp fiction and noir style books and movies. So what is it? Crime Fiction, Noir?
Simply, it is a story where the protagonist, male or female, is put in a situation where their morality could be compromised. Crime is the situation that put's our main character in that devilish spot.
The stories are generally action packed, fast moving with a dark mood surrounding it. Steamy sex and heart throbbing romance is another aspect of noir style writing. One other point, while romance is involved in some manner, a HEA is not guaranteed.
With the philosophy, out of the way … what do you get in reading my stories.
The theme of my crime fiction is the female protagonist is a mess personally. She will be kickass on the outside but dealing with various demons on the inside. Yes, a man is usually the culprit!
The other challenge is to solve the crime her value system will be put into play. Meaning she may have to do something that goes against her belief system but to catch the criminal.
In the end, well, you will have to read the books.
Simply put, my books have bad ass women who are messed up inside and love hot sex while they chase down the bad guys.
