"For by wise guidance you can wage your war"

I often get asked what was my inspiration for writing espionage thrillers with Mossad female agents.  What did inspire me was Ziva David on NCIS.  At the time, I had no idea who would be by female lead or what agency. I did know I wanted the stories to revolve around current events or similar.

It was during a binge session watching the old NCIS when Ziva showed up and her character enamored me. I had no idea about the Mossad or how they worked.  The first discovery was they are worldwide. They operate in almost every country. So that opened a lot of story opportunities.

Next thing I found out was they liked to use female agents.  Now I knew I was on the right track.  But here is the interesting thing,  the Mossad loves using honey traps.  What is a honey trap?  It is where a female agent will seduce their target and use a romantic entanglement to gain information or even assassinate the target.  The katsa's (Mossad Female Agent) are notorious in this role.

So, you might ask what does this have to do with Blackbird?  Get ready for Book Five, Death in the Mist, for she is going to have to use all of her feminine wiles to eliminate one of the most ruthless enemies she has ever faced!  Look for it late April.

On the meantime, you can dive into Edge of the Storm ..
