You Are Here ... Is On The Way!

Writing my novel draft is getting tougher and tougher now that I'm reaching the endgame.

But on the plus side, I'm very excited about my finished novel "You Are Here," which will likely be published by ...

100-Day Novel-Writing Challenge: Week 8

If I don't have a novel draft written by April 25, I'll donate $100 to an anti-gay marriage charity. How am I doing?

Today I'm writing about the pros and cons of making a shopping list before I write.

Seamus and the Art of Repetition

Gail Collins can't seem to stop talking about the time Mitt Romney once drove to Canada with the family dog strapped to the roof of the car, and I can't seem to stop hearing about it. What's up with that?

An Interview with Eileen Granfors

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing author, blogger, and Amazon Top 500 reviewer Eileen Granfors. As you might expect, she's got eclectic tastes. The interview is here:

One of the books she recommends involves a certain Trojan War love story. I'll leave it at that.

Have a great weekend, all!

Week 5: 100-Day Novel Writing Challenge

I'm now five weeks into writing the latest draft of my next novel. If I'm not done by April 25, the StickK website will debit my credit card $100 and donate the money to an anti-gay marriage charity. How am I doing?

Foreign Affairs

For Valentine's Day I thought I'd share a post on a romance novel that changed my life, Alison Lurie's "Foreign Affairs." (It's hetero romance, but still, I can't describe how much the story moved me.)

Fight, Washington! Fight! Fight! Fight!

I wish I was a Washington State resident so that I could fight to protect marriage rights up there. I fought for them in California in 2008 and got a profound sense of, "Why do I even have to do this?" The full blog post is here:

Cheers!
