A year of dragon (giveaways)
In 2013, I needed a new hobby. I was in the middle of writing three books that year, and I needed something else to do or I would go crazy. So I began making little figurines out of clay in my free time, and after a time, shared some of them on social media. People immediately wanted to know if I had an Etsy shop where I sold them. I’d never heard of Etsy back then, but when I looked into it, I thought, why not? It would give a few sculptures a good home, and clear off shelf space to make more. So on March 9th, 2013, I opened an Etsy shop and made them available for purchase.
I had no idea they would become so popular.
I can only make so many dragons. I am very lucky that I have a hobby that supports itself, but it IS a hobby, not my full time job. I also realize that the Etsy sales can be frustrating, as the dragons are snatched up in under a minute. I wish I could make more, have more sales, but I just don’t have the time.
I know there are many people who want a dragon and can’t get one in the Etsy sales. Here is my solution.
Once a month, starting now, I will offer a dragon for giveaway on my blog. I will not announce what day the dragon is going up beforehand. I will not announce what time the dragon will appear, or how long the giveaway will last. The link to the giveaway will simply appear on Twitter and my Facebook page, so it will be up to you to spot it. On twitter, be on the lookout for this hashtag: #ADragonHasLanded. That will be your only alert that the link to the giveaway is live.
Fear not, I will still be making dragons and putting them up on Etsy. But for everyone who has been trying to get a dragon for a long time, this will be an opportunity to snag one that doesn’t involve super fast keyboard fingers. Its the best thing I could think of for now. So good luck, and happy dragon hunting.

Iron Fey Chocolate giveaway
The holiday season is upon us!
And the end of another year draws to a close. For me, its been a little bittersweet, because this year the Iron Fey series came to an end. The last epic battle for the Nevernever took place within the pages of THE IRON WARRIOR, where Ethan, Kenzie, Keirran and Razor, along with Meghan, Ash, Puck, Grim and everyone else said their last goodbyes.
So, I thought I would send them off in style, and what better way to do that than to have a holiday season giveaway?
With Iron Fey CHOCOLATE?
These are the new Iron Fey (and Talon) chocolate bars from Sweet! Hollywood, which you can order from their store. They ship most anywhere in the world. I drew the chibis on the wrapper and got to create the bars themselves, so each character has their own original flavor. Which you can see in the Julie Kagawa section of Sweet! Hollywood.
And as I happened to get my hands on a few of these bars, I’ll be giving away some Iron Fey chocolate for Christmas. Three winners will be chosen on the 19th. They will get to choose which chocolate bar character they want: Meghan, Ash, Puck, Grimalkin, Ethan, or Ember. All are incredibly delicious, but my favorites are Ash (chocolate and mint, of course) and Ember (cinnamon, toffee bits, and coffee).
Yes, this is international.
So you know what to do. Enter the rafflecopper thingie below, and have a very Faery Christmas!

Farewell to the Iron Fey final tour stop
Hey everyone!
Welcome to the last stop on the Farewell to the Iron Fey blog tour. I will say that, for me, its bittersweet to see the series coming to an end. Back when I first started The Iron King, I had no idea the journey I would set out on, or where it would lead. I had no idea it would spawn a massive, magical world filled with characters who have become as familiar to me as my own family. Meghan, Ash, Puck, Ethan, Keirran, Kenzie, Razor, Grimalkin…they’ve become so much more than words on paper. They’ve become characters with entire histories, past lives, fears, triumphs, failures and legacies. And the world of the Iron Fey has grown beyond all my expectations.
So, to all my readers and fans, thank you. For going on this journey with me. For falling in love with and cheering on the characters, wherever their adventures take them. For the tears that feed the ever gluttonous Muse. And mostly, for reading and talking about and sharing the love of the Iron Fey world and all its inhabitants, for as long as they are remembered, they will never fade. They will, in their own way, have achieved a little bit of immortality.
So today, as we prepare to say goodbye, I have this awesome giveaway for you. First, I have the entire set of The Iron Warrior chibi collection. Keirran, Ethan, Kenzie and Razor, all chibi-fied, handmade from polymer clay by myself, and ready to go to one lucky winner.
Oh, yeah. I also have a signed Iron Warrior to go with them, too.
So you know the drill. Enter the Rafflecopter thingie below and spread the word. The Iron Warrior hits shelves on October 27th! It’s the epic, final battle for all of the Nevernever. Are you ready to say goodbye?

Comic Con pics
Had an awesome time at Comic Con. The panels were great, and I found an Assassin’s Creed hoodie that I’ve been looking for forever, but the real fun was watching all the cosplay. Here are a few of my favorites.

Me and a chibi Ryu and Chun Li. And a lego Chris Pratt in the background.

Me and Nightwing

Can you spot the Sim?

You know nothing, tiny Jon Snow.

Joined a mad party.

Me and Cyclops.

And my favorite couple.

And some more X-men.

Actually, X-men were everywhere!

Use the Force? Psh, that’s what these guys are for. And I see you behind me, Mr. Fett.

Saving the galaxy with these guys.
Hope everyone who went to Comic Con had as much fun as I did. Did you get to go? What was your favorite part?

Rogue Audiobook giveaway
Howdy everyone.
It’s another giveaway! And this time I have something super cool for ya’ll: the unabridged audiobook of Rogue, the second book in the Talon saga.
Ember Hill left the dragon organization Talon to take her chances with rebel dragon Cobalt and his crew of rogues. But Ember can’t forget the sacrifice made for her by the human boy who could have killed her—Garret Xavier Sebastian, a soldier of the dragonslaying Order of St. George, the boy who saved her from a Talon assassin, knowing that by doing so, he’d signed his own death warrant.
Determined to save Garret from execution, Ember must convince Cobalt to help her break into the Order’s headquarters. With assassins after them and Ember’s own brother helping Talon with the hunt, the rogues find an unexpected ally in Garret and a new perspective on the underground battle between Talon and St. George.
A reckoning is brewing and the secrets hidden by both sides are shocking and deadly. Soon Ember must decide: Should she retreat to fight another day…or start an all-out war?
So check it out, this thing is eleven CDs and twelve and a half hours long, with FOUR narrators who do an absolutely fantastic job with each of the characters. If you love audiobooks and have listened to the Iron Fey series before, here’s a little piece of awesome for you. MacLeod Andrews, who does the voice of Garret, also did the voice for a certain icy prince in the audio version of The Iron Knight. All the narrators are wonderful, and you have a chance to hear them yourself.
So there ya go. Fill out the Rafflecopter thingie. It’s international, so what do you have to lose?
