Look what came!
I had the completed 1st draft bound into a book! There is a method to my madness - I've been staring at the Word document for so long, I began to wonder if I was overlookin errors. So, thanks to lulu.com we bound it, and I will commence editing with a good ol' fashioned red pen.
I must admit, I did jump for joy when i opened the package. When my copies of Rise of the Deva'shi were delivered I was pregnant with the wonder twins and was far too exhausted to properly act like a dork. Not this t...

It's done!
It's done! The prequel to the sequel has been completed, and bears the tentative tile of Heir to the Sun. It tells the story of Asherah as she becomes the Queen of Parthalan, and of Aeolmar's parents. It's not quite as long as Rise of the Deva'shi, but there's a lot of story packed into those pages! Now begins the process of convincing someone to publish it. Hopefully, soon I'll have more good news to share!

Title this!
Below is an email I sent to a good friend of mine today regarding the title to my nearly-finished book. After all, I can't call it the prequel to the sequel forever.

Being that you are woman with highly discerning taste (yes, I know that flattery will make you leap to my aid! and, c'mon, it's Friday - how much work really gets done on Friday?) what would you think of a title that is a lone made-up word? I was thinking of Ish...

Rainy Sunday morning
And we have nothing to do! No place to go, no functions to attend...it's as if the gods are smiling on me and giving me time to finish the prequel to the sequel! Of course, I'm writing this instead...
The book signing last week was a rousing success! We very nearly sold out (only one copy left), saw many old friends, and made a few new ones. I have some more signings in the works, so stay tuned for upcoming events!

Here we are on a lazy Saturday
Spent part of the morning at a birthday party for a four and five year old. Their parents are amazing party throwers, but the mosquitos forced us to bail on the festivities! Now we're home and the wonder twins and Mr. Robb are all snoozing in various parts of the house. I don't know who gets worn out faster, the kids or the papa!
At least I have the house to myself, prime time for working on #2, tentatively (and affectionately) titled The Prequel to the Sequel. I think I have finally decided...
