We rescued a dog

I told you we're building a house, right? Yeah, it's a fun, massive project. There are frequent surprises, and a lot of them aren't very pleasant.

But I think the biggest one was having a stray dog show up.

She wasn't an ordinary stray. She had a collar and was very friendly with my children. She stayed at our construction site. We began to feed her, all the while warning the children that

Christmas in Times Square and 40% off select paperbacks!

I'm not a city girl.

At all. So when my husband suggested we go to New York for our anniversary, I was like, "If you want." Not to mention our anniversary is in December, which means snow, right?

Well, we got really lucky, and the weather in New York was unseasonably warm, even warmer than Arkansas. And while I've

I want it now!

We live in an instant gratification society.

I'm certainly no exception to the rule. I get impatient waiting for things to happen. I want it now. I can't wait.

Never is this more clear than when waiting for a webpage to load.

But I've been having a problem with my internet service. Every month, the price goes up by a dollar. And the speed is getting slower...and slower...and slower.

Priceless Cover Reveal

Priceless has a cover, and it's beautiful.
I am so very excited. This is the third book in the Perilous series, and quite honestly, the best one so far. Perilous was a fine book for a debut novel, but I've grown so much as a writer. Altercation (book #2) was really great, but this book, Priceless (book #3) is finally the story I really want to tell. The book has not been released and I don't even

Coming soon to audio book!

Cassandra Jones comes to audio book.

Walker Wildcats Year 1 releases next month on audio book. This has been a very exciting journey for me, but the most exciting part, honestly, was choosing my narrator. Her name is Hysha, and what really struck me about her, besides having a fantastic voice for narrating a 10-year-old girl, was her desire to be a stay-at-home mom. You can find her blog here

I got some great feedback from a publisher interested in my Brazilian cookbook. One of their requests was to see professional photos of some of the recipes.

Check them out! Aren't they awesome??Another requirement was to prove with factual numbers and data the people who are actually

Facelift (Coverlift?) and Sneak Peeks

I'm in the editing process for the sequel to INEVITABLE. Since I want all the books in the series to match, I decided INEVITABLE needed a new cover!

Without further ado, here it is! What's really exciting is the cover to the sequel, which I can hardly wait to share with you. Let me just say, it's beautiful! On another note, I'm looking for beta readers to help me read over the sequel
