Falling in Love in Tuscany!
These days everybody seems to love books that take place in Italy. Especially Tuscany. I'd written two of them myself last year when the editors at Harlequin asked me to write the first book for a continuity series that would take place in a wonderful make-believe town in Tuscany.
I said yes, and along with seven other authors began working on my contribution to this 8-book series about sixteen people who find love under the Tuscan Sun. :)
My characters Dani Tate and Rafe Mancini were an unexpected pair. Dani was a former foster child whose final foster mom became like a real mom to her. She goes to Italy right after her long-time boyfriend proposes. He doesn't have a ring. He just wants to tie her to him. (Personally, I never liked the guy.)
Anyway, she goes to Italy to teach English as a second language and to bum about Italy for a month or so, believing this is her last trip as a single woman and ends up working as the hostess for Rafe's new restaurant.
Rafe's a grouchy chef. He really would scare a lesser woman, but Dani's not always had the easiest life and she doesn't let people push her around. Rafe actually likes that she can stand up for herself. He likes bold people.
But he doesn't expect to fall in love. Neither does Dani.
A BRIDE FOR THE ITALIAN BOSS is a fun, quirky story about finding love in an unexpected place and an unexpected way. Romantic Times Magazine gave it four stars and one of my first readers from Netgalley gave it 5.
If you're looking for a story to warm your heart even as it spirits you away to beautiful Tuscany, A BRIDE FOR THE ITALIAN BOSS is the book for you. :)
Happy Reading
