On a Different Mission: A Bisexual Awakening MM Romance Releases!

“He’s been talking about wearing a skirt or a dress forever, you know.” She threw a look toward the stage. “I think Axel is helping him be himself finally.”
“I’m right here, you know.” He rolled his eyes. “It wasn’t all Axel. It was time.” He focused on me. “I’ve been daring myself to be me since I came down here freshman year and now that my senior year is almost over, I figured it’s now or never, you know?”
I nodded. “Yeah, I know. Senior year sort of makes the real world and what you want to do and be the rest of your life real.” Boy, did I know that. Graduation couldn’t some soon enough.
Layla stepped through the bar and stopped at us, her cropped blonde hair held off her forehead by a pair of black barrettes. “Hey, everyone.” With a grin, she held her hand up.
“Layla, good you’re here.” Olivia wrapped her up in a quick hug, then freed her. “What do you think of Devin?” She stepped back and held her hand out to him.
“Oh my. I hardly recognized you.” Layla gave him the once over. “Stand up for me.”
With his cheeks flushing, he slid off his barstool and turned around.
“You are hot. If I didn’t know what equipment you had under that skirt, I might be jealous of my boy Brandon here.” She sniggered.
“Don’t even think about it.” I shook my head, chuckling.
Axel hopped off the stage and strode to us. “Hey, Dev, it’s time, man. Let’s do this.” He patted Devin’s arm.
“Yeah, okay.” Devin planted a quick kiss on my cheek, then jogged up to the stage.
“So, are you nervous for him?” Layla bumped her shoulder on mine, then ordered herself a beer from the bartender.
“Yeah, a little.” I kept my focus on the stage, on Devin snatching the mic and flipping his longs bangs to the side. Something happened to him when he got behind a mic. It was like he became someone else with more confidence and the slightly awkward Devin disappeared. I wasn’t sure which one I liked more. Did I have to choose? Hell no, I could have them both.

Catching His Name Releases!
This was a fun book to write and I was able to let my characters eat all the great foods that I no longer can due to my food sensitivities (like gluten, eggs and milk:( ). But Dana is a character that is near to my heart, because his humor is pretty much like mine. Yep, all those weird things he says are things I say and my friends roll their eyes every time, LOL. Anyways, I hope this installment of the Mesa Boys is as entertaining for you readers as it was for me to write. Thanks for reading!
And Now, A Teaser:I sure as hell didn’t expect that. “Really.” He locked his gaze to Nate’s lips, then licked his own. Why did Nate offering information about himself make him feel like he’d just won a prize?
“Your friends aren’t around.” Nate skimmed his teeth over his lower lip.
“You want to kiss me?” Dana came close, brushing his lips to Nate’s. They were as soft as they looked.
Nate’s breath caught.
With his mouth hovering over Nate’s, Dana whispered, “How about we play a game? Every time you tell me something about yourself, I’ll give you a kiss.” He cupped Nate’s cheek with his palm. “A really good f*cking kiss.” He pressed his mouth to Nate’s, then skimmed his tongue inside, tasting beer and spice and a hint of sweet. F*ck, he tastes good. Heat tingled in his swelling c0ck.
A low moan rippled from Nate’s chest as he deepened the kiss, his tongue dancing along Dana’s. He squirmed in his seat, adjusting his shorts.
Dana broke the kiss, his gaze meeting with Nate’s, his pupils wide. “Sound like a deal?”
Breathless, Nate said, “Is that the only way I can get a kiss?” He flicked his tongue over his upper lip.
“No, sometimes I might just want to kiss you, too.” Dana released a soft chuckle. Like probably all the damn time.

Catching His Eye (Mesa Boys book 3) Releases!

Josh and Gavin surprised me quite a bit in the this book. It wasn’t until I was halfway through that I realized I was writing kink awakening;) So, that might give you an indication of some of what goes on between Gavin and Josh. They have a very strong sexual attraction to each other, so yeah, lots of sex scenes. Anyhow, when I first wrote about Josh as Max’s friend in book 1, I didn’t see this coming at all. Hope you all enjoy it!
And Now, A Teaser:
With a chuckle, Josh picked up his beer. “Yeah, I know all about it. My sister has two boys, and they are a handful. Cute, but I’m glad I’m the uncle and not the dad. I can hand them back whenever I want.” He peeked at Gavin.
“Yeah, you’re too young still for all of that. I was almost thirty when we had Casey. I was done with going to nightclubs every weekend.” Jacob sipped some beer. “Which, Gavin, I heard you took our new hire here down to Sixth Street last night?”
“I did.” Gavin peered at Jacob. What had Josh told him?
“By the way, it’s cool of you to share your room with Josh. I don’t know if I’d have been that nice.” Jacob ticked his brows at Gavin.
“It has two beds, it’s not like we’re sleeping together.” Josh flicked a glance at Gavin, then freed a sharp laugh.
Choking on his wine, Gavin sputtered and coughed, then wiped his napkin over his mouth. Holy shit, he did not just say that. He stared at Josh.
Josh’s face reddened.
“You okay over there?” Jacob watched him, a faint smile playing over his lips. “Good to know you’re not sleeping with the new hires, too.” He chortled.
Giggling, Josh’s face grew a darker shade of red.
Gavin dipped his head, then shook it as he came back up. “How do you know? Maybe I will.” The best way out of this, was to just go with it. He smirked at Josh.
Josh stared at him, his mouth parting, and squirmed in his seat.

Catching His Heart (Mesa Boys Book 2) Releases!

What can I say about this book? I hated Carter’s father as much as I loved Shane and what he has with Carter. When I started writing this, I didn’t realize (because I’m a huge pantser) how much Carter’s family drama was going to play into this story. But it brings Carter’s situation as much closure as he could get while Shane gets complete closure with his father. I think this book is ultimately about loyalty and standing by the person you love, no matter what. Okay, and Carter has a huge protective streak, LOL.
And Now, A Teaser: Shane stepped into the apartment, then shut the door. The aroma of beef cooking filtered into his nose, making his stomach grumble. “Oh, that smells good.” He walked into the kitchen. Carter stood at a white stove, browning hamburger in a frying pan, his black t-shirt pulled tight across his chest, gray board shorts resting on his narrow hips. “Good. I’m making tacos for dinner.” Winding his arms around Carter’s waist, Shane pressed up behind him and kissed the side of his head. “This is sort of nice, coming home to you cooking for me. I like having a wife.” “I’m not a wife.” Carter held the spatula up. “Could have fooled me.” Snickering, Shane released him, then opened the refrigerator and took out two bottles of Gatorade. He set one down next to Cater. “I called my mom today.” He rested his ass on the opposite counter from him and opened the bottle, perusing small bowls filled with shredded lettuce and cheese, salsa, and sour cream, resting on the counter next to the stove. Carter turned from the stove. “And?” He peered at him. “And she’s in. We just have to get your mom to agree now and well, get her to admit what’s going on.” Shane sipped the Gatorade. “Yeah, that’s on Dylan.” Carter pressed his lips together and returned to the stove. “My Mom gave me a warning.” Shane bumped off the counter and stepped next to Carter. Did he know what his mother could be getting into? Carter peeked at him. “Yeah? What sort of warning?” Furrowing his brows, Shane said, “She said that with a man like your dad, what your mom is doing is dangerous.” He set his hand on Carter’s shoulder. “I did some research on the internet. When a woman leaves an abusive relationship, or tries to, that’s when things get dicey. The guy steps up his game and he might really hurt her.” “Fuck.” Carter stopped shoving the hamburger around in the pan and clenched his jaw. Shane turned the burner off and slid the pan over. “Come here.” He draped his arms over Carter’s shoulders.Freeing a long breath, Carter buried his face in Shane’s neck and relaxed into his hold. “I’m scared for her, Shane.” He hooked his arms around Shane’s waist. “I know.” Shane kissed his cheek. “So am I.” His heart ached for him. “But we’ll be careful and when she’s ready, we’ll be there for her.”April 5, 2022
Catching His Fall (Mesa Boys Book 1) Releases!

This was a fun book to write about a young man (Tanner) who made something of himself, even with the messed up parental situation he was born into. There is a quirky bar in this book that is one of my favorites and is a real place, called, Monastery Bar and Grill. The MCs also get to go on a Mexican vacation to a fun place I went to last summer (write what you know…).
In the free prequel , you get to meet all the skaters. Each skater will basically find their HEA with someone outside of their immediate group of friends in a variety of tropes. Now, the good stuff…
Giveaway!Three winners of the Rafflecopter giveaway will be able to pick their choice of any of my published works, including this book. There is also a prequel read for this book if you sign up for my newsletter.
Max wrapped an arm around his shoulders and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. “I’m so glad we could be here together.” Tanner’s gaze met his. “Yeah, me, too.” He opened the patio door, his long, sun-bleached hair billowing out behind his head, and stepped out to an iron railing with Max following. “Holy fuck. Look at that, two pools?” Max looked over the grounds, some ten stories below them, and grasped the iron railing. Two large pools fed into a circular pool bar cabana. Grass and palm trees made up the landscaping and beyond it all, a set of palapas lined up across the beach. “You ever watch Bachelor in Paradise?” “What?” Tanner creased his brows. “Jesus, Max, don’t tell him you watch that. He might find a new boyfriend.” Josh chuckled, sidling up to the patio rail. “Shut up, you.” Max snickered, dipping his head a moment. “This place reminds me of where they film that show. They put all these couples on the beach and film them pairing up, then breaking up. It’s very dramatic. Anyway, they film that somewhere in Mexico, too.” He studied Tanner. Tanner stared at him. “You uh, watch The Bachelor?” Max faced him. “No, if you must know. I watch The Bachelorette sometimes. The guys are hot.” He lifted his chin. He would not be embarrassed about this. Tanner smirked. “You’re not watching that anymore.” Carter walked out onto the patio. “Uh-oh, Tanner’s getting his jealous on.” He snorted. “Bet you’ve never seen his jealous side, huh, Max?” Carter slapped Max’s arm. Max let a wide smile grace his lips, focusing on Tanner’s large, hazel eyes, the flecks of green and brown glinting in the sunlight. No, he’d never seen it and Tanner had no reason to be jealous. “I don’t need to watch it anymore. I have you.” Max placed his hands on Tanner’s cheeks and gave him a long, deep kiss.Tanner’s chest swelled with the intensity of the kiss, then he grabbed Max’s hips and pulled them close.
“Go do that in your own bedroom.” Carter scoffed, waving his arm, then stomped into the condo. Josh tsked. “At least get unpacked first.” Max broke the kiss, searching Tanner’s face. Tonight was the night. There would be a full moon, and everything would be perfect. “I suppose. Let’s get unpacked, so we can get down to the pool bar and the beach.” With a grin, Tanner brushed his fingers over Max’s cheek. “Let’s do it.”

A Summer Without Rain Re-Releases!

This was my first book baby and was originally written back in 2008 or so, when I had no idea what I was doing (that assumes I might know what I’m doing now, LOL). These characters and this story always stuck with me and I wanted to give it a proper rewrite to do them justice. So, this book has been heavily revised into a true dual POV and my editor lives in the UK, so that helped quite a bit with the dialogue and some historical facts (plus, there area a huge amount of articles available online now that weren’t there back then!). I should also mention that I’ve now been to Dublin – yay!
So, why did I choose to write a book in Ireland in 1920? Originally, I’d been watching a bunch of Irish independent film and fell in love with that time period and place (it might have something to do with Cillian Murphy:) ). I also wanted to explore the aspect of forbidden love. Now, on to the good stuff…

Enter Giveaway And Now, A Teaser:Ciaran spread a faint smile on his lips and cupped Shannon’s face in his hand. It was time for answers. “I like this, Shannon. I like being with you this way. But what exactly is this?” His gaze roamed Shannon’s face. Would he finally hear what he wanted to hear?
Shannon’s throat dipped with a hard swallow. He looked away for a moment, then came back. “I-I don’t know, I suppose it can be whatever you want it to be,” he said softly.
“Well, what do you want it to be?” Ciaran held him tightly. He would get his answers.
Shannon whined, “I don’t know, Ciaran.” He shifted under Ciaran’s body, attempting to look away again.
Ciaran pressed on Shannon’s chin, bringing him back. Was the secret Shannon shared with his aunt how he felt about him? Is that what was going on? He should just ask. Surely, Shannon would tell him. “Is it what Iona said, you suppose? Could we be in love?” He pressed his lips together, his heart hammering in his chest. What would he say?
With wrinkled brows, Shannon searched his face. He opened his mouth to speak, then shut it again.
Maybe he doesn’t feel the same. Maybe I’m wrong. His chest ached. He needed to get out of this somehow. He spread an anxious smile over his lips. “That’s silly, isn’t it? To think we might be in love with each other. I mean, sure, I love you. But you’re my best friend. So of course, I’m going to love you, in a way. But guys don’t love each other, do they, Shannon?” He forced a grin.
Shannon’s eyes glistened and he twisted his head away, then took an audible swallow. “Yeah, I suppose we love each other like friends.” He huffed a quick chuckle. “It would be silly to think we’d be in love.” He turned onto his side, away from Ciaran, and curled himself into a tight ball.
Shifting in the bed, Ciaran leaned over Shannon’s side, caressing his shoulder. Was Shannon about to cry? A lump formed in his throat. Why wouldn’t Shannon just tell him if he loved him more than a friend? “Are you all right?” What could he do to make him feel better, to make him trust him?
“Yeah, just feel a little sick all of a sudden.” Shannon’s voice cracked.
He’s not ready. I won’t push him. “I knew you shouldn’t have drunk all that whiskey.” Ciaran lay back down and hesitated. What should he do? He should comfort him as best he could. He wrapped his body around Shannon’s in a desperate embrace and placed a lingering kiss on his back. “Goodnight, Shannon. Let me know if you need to be sick, okay?”
A light sniffle escaped Shannon. “Yeah, okay. Goodnight.”
Ciaran reached for the nightstand, flicked off the lamp with the red-feathered shade and went back to Shannon. He positioned himself as close as possible, making sure no gaps existed between them, giving him a brief but pure squeeze. He closed his eyes.
Shannon’s breathing became rhythmic in his hold.

Breaking His Serve Releases!

Why tennis? Because it’s what I know. I played tennis competitively as a teen for a tennis club and I was first singles for my high school team. I also did some tournaments. I loved Bjorn Borg and Illie Nastase:)
Anyhow, this book was a lot of fun to write. River is definitely the most fun character I’ve ever written – he’s unfiltered in pretty much every way and not afraid to show off or to be who he is.
I love hanging out in Flagstaff, Arizona, where this book takes place. It’s a little mountain town not too far from the Grand Canyon. The restaurants and bars mentioned in the book are also some of my favorite places up there.
While writing this book, a very good friend of mine died from pancreatic cancer. You might notice the dedication to her in the front matches River’s mother’s name. I got to tell her about that before she passed and we had a little chuckle over it. Anyhow, no more sad stuff…
Now for the Teaser:River eyed him and edged his chest to the table. “You can talk to me, you know. I’m not as much of an asshole as you think I am.”
Chase snickered. “Yeah, right.” He ate a bite of food. “You just want more shit you can throw at me on the court.” His chest tightened. He couldn’t trust this guy. All he wanted was his position on the team.
“That’s not true.” River reached over the table and placed his hand on Chase’s forearm, gazing into his eyes. “We have a chance to help each other out here. Maybe more than on the court.”
Chase searched his face. His heart skipped and heat rushed up his neck. He looked deeply into River’s blue eyes, taking him in fully. The memory of a guy kissing River at the bar flashed through his mind. The rumors about him are true. I saw him kiss a guy. Desire shivered over his spine. He’s fucking hot…but I hate him. Remember that. He stared at the table, yanking his arm away. “So, say something helpful for once.”
“Your girlfriend is an idiot.”
“What?” Chase lifted his brows.
River sat back in his chair, smirking. “She’s an idiot.” He shrugged his shoulders. “I mean, what’s not to like about you? Well, except for your attitude.” He sniggered.
“What’s wrong with my attitude?” Anger flared in Chase’s chest. He tensed his mouth. This conversation was pointless and going nowhere.
“You need to relax a little bit. Have some fun for once.” River looked him over. “I bet you’re pretty tame in bed, too.”
“What?” Chase jumped from his chair, glaring down at River. Why the hell would he even go there? “Take that back.”
River chuckled and waved his hand. “Sit down.” He scanned around him. “You’re making a scene.”
Chase surveyed the people around them, all fixated on him. He took his seat. “You talk about my attitude. Why do you have to talk like that? We’re supposed to be going over the game.”
“Yeah, whatever. This is so much more fun.” River sipped his beer. “You’re so easy to rile up. Surprising, considering how controlled everyone says you are.”
Chase slumped his shoulders. He was right. It seemed not only could River run him all over the court, he did the same off the court. Why did he let him get to him so much? It wasn’t like him to let people get under his skin like this. But River just…He drew a deep inhale and ate some food.

Find Me in July Releases!

I may be dating myself by saying this, but I was 14 years old in 1978 when this book takes place. My grandparents also had a condo on the lake at Breezy Point Resort and I spent my summers up there as a kid. Sort of like Jessie and Troy do in this book:) So, yes, writing this book helped me relive some very fond memories of my childhood in that special place and that is why it takes place there. Back then, me and the friends I met up there did all those things that Jessie and Troy do, including the weed on the golf course, the frisbee, playing pool at The Commander (which is still there) and boating out at Gooseberry Island.
The other part of writing this book included researching what gay life was like in my hometown of Minneapolis back then. I do remember driving by the Gay 90’s as a teen and wondering at all the men on the sidewalk and not really understanding what was going on.
I was proud to find out that Minneapolis, along with New York and San Francisco, was one of the most liberal and safe places for people in the LGBTQ+ community. This was something I didn’t know about when the plot bunny for this book started screaming inside my head (and boy, did it scream). Now on to the good stuff…

The Haunting Crush Releases!

This book takes place in my home town and includes the true tale of the Ashbrook Wash Ghost, so it’s pretty near to my heart. I wrote this also to point out some of the dynamics I see living in a small town on the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona – including race (we are on the edge of the Pima reservation), how gay people are treated (well and not so well) and the stark division between the have’s and the have not’s. Though Kai and Conner are fictitious characters, they embolden some of the characteristics I’ve seen as a parent of two now young adults who grew up here. There are kids living in mansions in the desert who go to school with kids on welfare and food stamps, whose home life is anything, but normal. For the most part, everyone gets along pretty well. However, there are the bullies.
I added the ghost story here, because I love the series Ghost Adventures and I’ve had quite a few ghostly experiences myself. When I was a kid, my friends and I used to do these seances with a table (like in the book) and at one point, we found our kitchen cabinet doors opening and closing by themselves. I was fortunate in that my father was an Episcopalian priest, so he blessed the house and forbade us from having any more seances and everything stopped. I’ll just add that I lived in the duplex Kai and Bryce live in and I’m telling you, there is something in that place, LOL. I did see a shadow figure in my bedroom there (believe it or not). Okay, on to the book…
Giveaways! This time around, three lucky readers will get to pick their choice of any of my published works, including this book! There is also a free Prequel read for this book if you sign up for my newsletter
“Here’s your beer.” Brandon, sitting next to Kai, pushed a fresh beer toward him.
Kai surveyed the table. It was empty. Not good. “Where is everyone?”
Brandon poked at Kai’s arm. “Out dancing. Want to dance?”
“No.” He picked up his beer and slugged half of it down. Maybe he needed a shot, or maybe he needed to leave.
Conner walked up from behind him. “Brandon. What are you doing with my boyfriend?” He slid in between Kai and Brandon, his back to the table, resting an elbow on it.
Kai hung his mouth open and stared at Conner. What the actual fuck is going on tonight? Has everyone gone insane?
Brandon scoffed. “Since when is Kai your boyfriend?”
“Since last weekend.” Conner puffed out his chest. “Right, Kai?” He glanced at him and lifted his brows.
Conner must be doing the fake boyfriend routine to try and help him get rid of Brandon. He’d go along with it for now. He snapped his mouth shut and wrinkled his forehead. “Y-yeah. Last weekend.” He glanced at Brandon, then focused on his beer. He’d need more than this one to get through this night.
Brandon leaned over the table, glaring at him. “Why didn’t you say something?”
“I-I don’t know.” He wasn’t a good liar. He hugged his beer.
“It’s still new. Isn’t it, baby?” Conner wrapped an arm around him and squeezed, then kissed him on the head.
Baby? Is he nuts? Kai snarled and shook his head. “Yeah, it’s new.” Conner kissed me. Holy fucking shit. He bit his lip, then peeked at Brandon.
Brandon slid off his stool, glared at Conner, then stomped off.
He dropped his arm from Kai’s shoulders, then sat at the barstool vacated by Brandon. He came close to Kai. “So, I guess I need your phone number if you’re going to be my boyfriend.”
“Stop it. I am not your boyfriend.” What was Conner trying to pull? He straightened and faced him.
“I still want your number.” Conner shimmied his cell phone out of the front pocket of his jeans, opened the interface and handed it to him. “Please? Then I can tell you when I’m going out of town, so you won’t get mad at me.” He snickered.
Heat flushed Kai’s face. He must have been pretty obvious in the bathroom. “Yeah, okay.” He relaxed his shoulders and entered his number, then handed the phone to Conner.
He called the number.
Kai’s phone buzzed in his back pocket and he slid it out, then turned it off.
“There, now you have my number, too.” Conner smiled at him. “Want to get a Jell-O shot with me?”

Finally the Trilogy is Complete!

This series started for me about eight years ago when I had an idea about a vampire story that would take characters from two of my favorite animes at the time and pair them together. I was thinking of something along the lines of Alucard from Hellsing paired with Haji from Blood+. But of course, these things take on a mind of their own and Sebastian and Julian were born instead:)
After writing the first two books, my personal life became very complicated, including losing my mother suddenly, and I was unable to finish the third book. I took six long years off from writing. Thank goodness, that’s all over and today, the Trilogy is done and released at all retailers. Finally, there is an HEA for Sebastian and Julian.
Giveaways! There is a raffle (there is always a raffle) for six of you to win your choice of books 1 or 2 in the series.
Enter Giveaway On to the Excerpt...“You know I have to find out.” Julian’s heart pounded in his chest as if it would break free. There was no way anyone could keep him from finding out if his family was indeed here. He scanned the room, wearing only his jeans, at the leather couch and contemporary furnishings of their family room, at Sebastian’s beloved gold and red, Romanian icons hanging from the walls.
With an audible exhale, Sebastian shut his eyes tight and pinched the bridge of his nose, his black hair falling in waves to his shoulders over his black, button-down shirt, his bottom half still bare after their lovemaking. “Let this wait until tomorrow.” He breathed deeply and looked at Julian with black, almond-shaped eyes. “Tomorrow we will meet with my father. You can bring it to his attention.”
Julian stared at Sebastian. Would they let me see them? What would I do if they said no? He opened his mouth to speak but clamped it shut.
Sebastian stepped to Julian, then took his hand in his and kissed his cheek, sliding his long, chestnut-colored hair to the side. “We’ve had a very busy day today. Let us go to bed and deal with this in the morning.”
He nodded his head. The haze of possibility threatened to overwhelm him. “You’re right.” As he strolled with Sebastian into the hallway, he stopped at Nikolai’s door, opened it, and peeked inside. Nikolai was still here. He released a long exhale.
Nikolai lay fast asleep in a mission-style bed with a tan comforter drawn up to his chin. The crescent moon shining outside an open window above the bed gave the twelve-year-old boy a blue glow to his blond hair.
“Come on.” Sebastian tugged at Julian’s hand.
“We almost lost him.” Momentary panic pricked his heart. The memory of the fight with Caesar in the cave came rushing forward. He shut it away. Caesar was dead and they were safe now.
“And I almost lost both of you.” As Sebastian wrapped his arms around Julian’s shoulders from behind, he whispered into his ear, “It’s over now. Come to bed.”
He followed Sebastian into the doorway of their master bedroom, wrinkling his brow. His family was out there. How long would it take to fall asleep knowing that?
