Gambling addiction is as serious a disease as any other addiction. I have been to the rooms of Gambler's Anonymous and seen the desperation for myself.You can palpably feel how depraved and isolated some of these people begin to feel, unable to stop.
I have not personally had gambling as an addiction, but was tempted to trivialize it until I got in the rooms and listened to the desperate lengths that people had gone to, to quit on their own.
