Coming soon! Direct Evidence

The fourth Letty Valdez mystery, Direct Evidence will be published around the 20th of February. I'm looking for ARC readers. Contact me for a free copy in exchange for a review.

Private investigator Letty Valdez takes on a new case, but within minutes, the new client is shot and killed just outside of Letty’s office. Letty sets off on a search to find the murdered client’s teenage son. This leads to Letty and her assistant, Frankie Miranda, uncovering a cybercrime. As a result, both Letty and Frankie become targets. At the same time, Letty also recovers a kidnapped infant, stops a serial rapist, and deals with a vengeful criminal who wants to do her harm. Through it all, Letty is backed up by her favorite man, Dr. Dan, who wants, most of all, to keep Letty safe.

*Kissed" on sale

"Kissed: Cat Miranda Mystery #1" is now on sale for only 99 cents. Kissed has received 4.52 stars from readers on Goodreads. The book title and cover refers to a painting in Cat's art gallery in Bisbee, Arizona, with the same title.

Kissed is a cozy mystery with a big spoonful of romance. His name is Miles and he's an Englishman from Sussex who takes a liking to Ms. Miranda. The feeling is reciprocated. :-)

New! Fair Play

I have a new book out! Just published:
Fair Play: Cat Miranda Mystery #2

Fair Play is a stand-alone cozy mystery with a very big, very friendly dog named Tito. Here's the blurb.

Cat Miranda’s art exhibition in Bisbee, Arizona, is going well until events suddenly take a dark turn. Jeremy Flores, Cat’s childhood friend and personal attorney, has disappeared. Cat and her favorite Englishman, Miles Trevelyan, quickly locate Jeremy only to learn that he has been brutally assaulted. Cat and Miles begin a quest to identify and stop the assailant, as well as to seek links to two murders. They get help from Miles’s father, retired Sussex police detective Ian Trevelyan, Star Tavern-owner Amanda Fontaine, attorney Ana Hernandez, art expert Freddy Howard, and a big black dog named Tito who likes to play fetch when he’s not protecting Cat. This Arizona-Sonora Borderlands tale has mystery and suspense plus a spoonful of seasoned romance.

ARC readers for mystery-suspense

I'm seeking ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) readers for my third Letty Valdez Mystery to be published Aug. 8. Readers get a free ebook copy and promise to write and post a review for Amazon, & Goodreads & Bookbub, too. I'm especially interested in hearing from women who are Army veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Email editor@ropesendpublishing.com for more info. Here's the blurb for Daemon Waters, the next Letty Valdez Mystery.

Tucson private detective and Army veteran Letty Valdez finds the Iraq War has come home to haunt her in Daemon Waters: A Letty Valdez Mystery. Letty is hired to investigate the murder of an environmentalist, ferret out a cheating husband, and find two missing vets. She discovers a sinister web of interconnected crimes, including a car bombing and two long-distance sniper assassinations. Letty’s deepest concern, though, is for that special veteran, the one who wants to hold and comfort her when she suffers from her PTSD nightmares. Can she keep him safe from an assassin’s bullet? Like all Letty mysteries, Daemon Waters has suspense, intrigue, and a touch of romance in this Mexico-U.S. Borderlands thriller.
