April's going to be crazy busy!
Today, Becca Dale was gracious enough to host me on her blog for Meet the Author Monday. I hope you'll pop over and say hi! http://beccadale.blogspot.com/
I've been crazy busy behind the scenes getting ready for the April 24 launch of Decadent's Tease line. And the release of Cursed! Woot! I am super excited about this release for many reasons. It's the first of at least three books, set in a world of paranormal, fantasy and even a little bit of scifi mixed in. It's a very cool mashup of genres, unintended but as certain things came to light, they fit very naturally into the story line. Serendipity is so cool. :)
I'm trying to keep the schedule up to date on my Interviews and Guest Blogs page, but things are happening fast. And some are changing, as will happen.
As it stands now, the fun all begins on April 15 - cover reveal day! I cannot wait to finally show off my gorgeous cover. It's perfect for the story.
And I'm very excited for Decadent to launch this new venture. They have been such an amazing publishing team to work with - a team in the best sense. I was so fortunate to have an editor who was tough but fair and encouraging - and enthusiastic! The most wonderful part. It's so gratifying when your publisher and editor are as excited for your release as you are.
Once the ebook releases, they don't stop there. They host Facebook book club parties, post covers and reviews and just generally help talk up the title. Hands down, the best publisher I've worked with. So I'm going to do my best to help get the word out about Decadent Tease! Check out their web site at www.decadenttease.com and blog: http://decadenttease.blogspot.com/
Writers, take note of the submission call. Decadent is a publisher that's going places!

Casting Call: Homecoming

Jim Caveziel was always Nick.

I had never heard of Anna Colwell before, but as soon as I saw her, I knew she was Jennie.

I absolutely love Seamus Dever. His acting abilities are underutilized on Castle. I think he needs to play a tortured soul like Keith to show off his acting chops. :)
Homecoming is a short story, so that's the full cast. Except for Madame Evangeline, of course. But she's the true enigma. Never seen, she works her 1 Night Stand magic behind the scenes. And she's always uncannily right!
Homecoming is available through Decadent Publishing's 1 Night Stand line: http://www.decadentpublishing.com/product_info.php?products_id=757&osCsid=9u8ko9967ssm1h7k91kc1n6om1

Excerpt “Unbelievable.” Had Madame Eve divined Jennie’s vision of Nick to conjure him for her? A better version of the boy she knew; wow, he looked incredible. He slowly scrutinized her. “It’s been a long time.”Had she changed so much? The way he stared made her self-conscious. “I thought you were married?”“Divorced last year.” He dropped his gaze, but pierced her again with those intense dark eyes. “I thought you were married?”“I left him last year. The divorce was final six months ago.” She sounded as if someone had punched her. So much for her brave front.“So. Is this your first time using Madame Eve’s 1 Night Stand?” “Yes.” And the last. No more blind dates. “What about you?” She could only imagine the women dying to share his bed. Why would he need a matchmaking service? He flashed a grin. “I thought I’d long ago run out of firsts, but yes.”How sad. As a teenager, she’d dreamed about sharing all those firsts with him, every new experience a new bond between them. She took it all in: the cheery fire in the stone hearth, the candles lining the mantle and atop the small round table set with a white linen tablecloth, the champagne chilling in the tall ice bucket, the immense leather sectional sofa with an ottoman large enough for two people to...Imagining herself and Nick entangled atop it, a flash flood of heat singed her.As if sensing her apprehension, he advanced slowly toward her. “I ordered dinner for us.”“I’ve lost my appetite.” Something about this felt too much like a setup.“Then let’s start with a drink. We have a lot to catch up on.”

Scifi alert! Blood Alert is now available

Born with a strange addiction, Cham needs a pint or two of blood on a regular basis to stay alive, healthy and solid. To make a miserable life worse, most everyone around him, except for his sister Kylee, overlook him as if he’s not clearly there. If not for the rage and questions pushing at him, he’d wonder if he really exists.
Cham’s mother died giving birth to him, leaving him and four-year-old Kylee in the hands of an angry, uncaring father. From the moment his infant fingers clutched hers, Kylee has been determined to protect him from the visible and invisible monsters.
After fleeing an abusive home, their lives revolve around stealing what Cham needs to survive. When he confides detail about a man from their past no one but he could see, Kylee refuses to leave him or let him fade into insanity. All is fine in their little world, until the cops arrest her for theft, and hallucinations do much worse than torment his memory.
They become so violently real, Cham wishes it was as simple as throwing himself in a padded cell.
Blood Alert is a science fiction adventure novel for adult audience. Contains violence and some profanity. The timeline follows after Incoming Alert.
No vampires, weres, zombies, fey, or previously known supernaturals were used or otherwise harmed in the making of this novel.
Available at Amazon
Author BioSci-fi, paranormal, thriller, sweet to spicy romance, indefinable, I’m an author who mixes up genres. Published with MuseitUp, Decadent Publishing, and I have a four book series inde-published, and am working on another series with two novels out of three released. I was born in upstate New York, land of cows, snow, drizzle and sometimes a ray of sun. I spent my childhood reading everything I could get my hands on. Adolescence found me questioning the validity of everything I read, along with acquiring the usual scars of high school.
Early twenties, I headed for the Pacific. A stop off to visit a friend in the desert turned into years in Tucson, Arizona. I worked as a waitress, bartender, greenhouse worker, greyhound trainer, while swapping a psych major for one in plant sciences at the University of Arizona.
My late twenties found me running family owned greenhouses and florist shops in New York. When the reality of retail life became too mundane to handle, I began an obsessive love of creating more interesting worlds.Blog Facebook Web Site
Congrats to Arlene on her release! I had the pleasure of beta reading this fantastic, original book. The cover should hook you, but once you begin reading, its unusual plot and characters will keep you hooked!

Cursed will launch Decadent's new Tease line!

I am so thrilled that my paranormal novella, Cursed, will be the first title Decadent will release to launch its new Tease line!

From daring vampires, shape-shifters, zombies, werewolves, witches/warlocks, and mediums with psychic abilities, you’ll find them all here!
The cover for Cursed is amazing. I wish I could share it with you! But for now, it has to stay under wraps. Next month, I'll be able to replace this placeholder with the real thing. :)
Here’s a peek at the short blurb:
Ten days of freedom. That’s all Fate had allotted me each year. In the streets of Venice, I could walk among them. Mingle. Belong.During Carnevale, they had no idea who I was. What I was.For ten days, it didn’t matter.Until I met her.
Decadent's wonderful team has been busy behind the scenes, planning an array of events and goodies for readers! I'm planning some cool stuff of my own. Stay tuned for more details...
