What's on in August 2017

August is usually a quiet month for me because there are fewer talks and radio interviews. However this August I am delighted to be entertaining the gentlemen of Brockenhurst Probus Club in the New Forest on the 8 August. I'll also continue writing.



I have three writing projects on the go at the moment, number fourteen and fifteen in the Inspector Andy Horton series and number four in the series featuring undercover investigator, Art Marvik.

Cowes Week and Inspector Andy Horton has a missing man and murder

Cowes Week 29 July to 5 August 2017 is one of the highlights of Britain's summer sailing season when the yachting world descends on the small town of Cowes on the Isle of Wight for a week of festivities. It's also featured in the Inspector Andy Horton crime novel, Death Surge.

Researching for an Art Marvik crime novel on the Isle of Portland

I spent two days in June in glorious sunshine exploring part of the Jurassic coast of Dorset, from the seaside resort of Weymouth to the Isle of Portland and particularly the latter for the purposes of research for the fourth in my crime series featuring my undercover investigator, former Royal Marine Commando, Art Marvik, who works for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad (NIMS).

On location with Art Marvik in the thriller Lost Voyage

Lost Voyage is the third marine based thriller to feature undercover investigator, Art Marvik, who undertakes dangerous assignments on behalf of the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad (NIMS). Lost Voyage was published by Severn House in the UK on 10 July 2017.



Lost voyage, like the others in the Marvik series (Silent Running and Dangerous Cargo) is set against the backdrop of the sea. In LOST VOYAGE Marvik's mission takes him along the south coast of England to the Severn Sisters cliffs, Beachy Head and the coastal towns of Newhaven and Eastbourne.

Delighted
to announce that undercover investigator Art Marvik has a new and
dangerous assignment to complete in LOST VOYAGE, his third mission with
the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad .



Lost Voyage is published by Severn House (10 July 2017) in the UK.
American readers will have to wait a bit longer, (sorry) for Art Marvik
in LOST VOYAGE which will be published in the USA on the 1 November
2017.

What's on in July 2017

I'm excited to announce that July sees the publication in hardcover in the UK of the latest in the Art Marvik marine based mystery series, Lost Voyage. I'll also be launching the new book video trailer, giving talks about crime writing and my crime novels, and I'll be on BBC Radio Solent talking to Julian Clegg on the breakfast show about Lost Voyage and my crime writing.
