New DI Andy Horton Marine Mystery Published This Week- Footsteps on the Shore
This week, 27 January, sees the publication of the new Inspector Andy Horton Marine Mystery Crime Novel, the sixth in the series, set against the backdrop of the Solent on the South Coast of England.Footsteps on the Shore once again features the rugged Harley Davidson riding and sailing detective, Andy Horton assisted by Sergeant Cantelli and often thwarted by his boss DCI Lorraine Bliss, and head of the major crime team, Detective Superintendent Uckfield.
Friday the thirteenth begins badly for DI Andy Horton when he wakes to find his Harley has been vandalized and his boss, DCI Lorraine Bliss, has returned early from her secondment to HQ. Then, convicted murderer, Luke Felton, released on licence, is reported missing and a decomposed corpse is washed up in Portsmouth harbour. But before Horton can get a grip on either case, he’s called to a house where a woman he’d only met the day before has been brutally murdered. Is missing Luke Felton the prime suspect, or is it his body in the mud of the harbour? Horton is under pressure to get results, but things are about to get much worse for the beleaguered detective …
Footsteps on the Shore is published in hardcover by Severn House and is available from bookshops and on line.
It will be published as an e book later in the year.

Death Surge, DI Andy Horton 10, on special price promotion for Cowes Week
To celebrate international yacht racing and Cowes Week, Death Surge, the tenth in the DI Andy Horton series of police procedural crime novels, set against the backdrop of Cowes Week is on a special price promotion via Aerbooks
Death Surge at only £2.49 and $3.99 for one week only until 7 August 2014
What began as the hunt for a missing man becomes the search for a ruthless killer...
Cowes Week is one of the highlights of Britain's summer sporting events. It has been held in early August every year since 1826, except during the two world wars. Traditionally, Cowes Week takes place during the first week of August though it is sometimes delayed a week to take into account the tides or, as in 2012, to avoid a clash with the Olympic Games. Over the years the event has attracted British and foreign royalty, and many famous faces.
A telephone call from a frantic Sergeant Cantelli to say that his nephew, Johnnie Oslow, is missing cuts short Detective Inspector Horton’s sailing trip to France. Summoned back to the Isle of Wight, Horton learns that Johnnie has not shown up for racing during Cowes Week, as previously arranged. The investigation is ranked low priority by Horton’s boss, DCI Lorraine Bliss, who like others believes Johnnie has probably gone off with a woman. But events take a very different turn when the charred remains of a body are discovered in one of the disused tunnels at the Hilsea Lines in Portsmouth. With the arrival of Detective Chief Superintendent Sawyer of the Intelligence Directorate and Agent Harriet Eames of Europol, what began as the hunt for a missing man becomes the search for a ruthless killer
