Sourdough bread!

I actually don't intend to post everyday on my blog (although who knows? Maybe I'll find I enjoy doing that), but I wanted to post this photo since I'm so stinkin' proud of myself! I made "real" sourdough bread with that lovely oven spring and everything! And the crust is super crispy and it even opened up where I scored it!

I started doing sourdough baking thanks to my friend and fellow

Flu shot

So I discovered yesterday that I might be fighting off a cold or flu or something, probably thanks to the flu shot I had a couple days ago. I wonder if that's why I've been so distracted and unfocused lately? I don't like blaming my health, but I've been struggling with my so many issues lately, why the hooch not? (and yes I realized I just made up a slang phrase and I don't care)

When I was

A change up in my blog posts

I’ve been reading a bunch of marketing books and articles, and many of them gave great advice on how to blog. So I’ve been trying to be more “formal” in my blogging lately. I don't know if it was noticeable?

Anyway, I found it kind of boring and really very restricting since I kept thinking about "value added" for each blog post and all that jazz.

But I was still blogging at my Daily Writing

Book review: Through Waters Deep by Sarah Sundin

Through Waters Deep (Waves of Freedom Book 1)

This is surprisingly the first Sarah Sundin novel I’ve read, and I really enjoyed this! Why did I wait so long to read one of her books?!

I didn’t realize before reading this that I really enjoy romance novels set in the 1930s and 1940s. It shouldn’t have surprised me since I love Grace Livingston Hill novels, and her books all took place during the

Book review: Not If I Save You First by Ally Carter

Not If I Save You First
by Ally Carter

I have to admit, I haven’t read any YA in a while, but the storyline of this book reminded me so much of the movie and TV series Hannah that I just had to read it. And I was so glad I did! It sucked me in from the very first page and wouldn’t spit me out until hours later when it was time for me to cook dinner. This is a wonderful romantic suspense YA with a
