DREAMLIKE ENLIGHTENMENT: UNDERSTANDING ILLUSION FROM A DZOGCHEN PERSPECTIVE (Click title for more information)
September 2 to 9, 2022
Yeshe Rangsal Retreat Land, Crestone, CO
Open Retreat
Tsoknyi Rinpoche often quotes an ancient teaching of the Buddha:
“My dreamlike form appears to dreamlike beings to show them the dreamlike path that leads to dreamlike enlightenment.” (Bhadrakalpa Sutra)
If even enlightenment is said to be dreamlike, what is it to be fully awake, free from illusion, yet with a heart full of compassion? Rinpoche will teach on these profound themes in this retreat.
Registration for the in-person retreat opens June 15, 2022, at noon, and closes August 15 at 5 p.m. Registration for streaming retreats opens on June 15, 2022, at noon, MDT and closes on September 1, at 5 p.m.

If this retreat is held in-person, it will be an open, foundational retreat and all are welcome to attend. We expect the retreat to be filled to capacity very quickly and we may need to close registration early. This retreat will also be streamed live for three days and end before pointing out instructions (normally done on the morning of fourth full day). There are no prerequisites, all are welcome to attend. The entire retreat will also be streamed to students who have had pointing out instructions with Rinpoche or another qualified Dzogchen or Vajrayana master.
DZOGCHEN PRACTICE INTENSIVE (Click title for more information)
September 10 to 17, 2022
Yeshe Rangsal Retreat Land, Crestone, CO
Advanced Retreat
The profound teachings of Dzogchen help us to directly discover our primordially pure nature, allowing our confused concepts and emotions to be naturally liberated. This direct and non-conceptual knowing is intimately intertwined with bodhicitta, which is the altruistic intention to become a Buddha with the motivation to relieve the suffering of all sentient beings fully. In this retreat, Rinpoche will teach us how to generate authentic bodhicitta (awakening mind) and the precious awareness of our true, unchanging nature.
Registration for the in-person retreat opens on June 15, 2022, at noon MDT and closes on August 15, at 5 p.m. Registration for the streaming retreat opens on June 15, 2022, at noon MDT and closes on September 9, at 5 p.m.
Prerequisite: Having received pointing out instructions from a qualified Vajrayana or Dzogchen master. If you have not been to an open retreat with Tsoknyi Rinpoche, you will be asked to watch an open retreat teaching on video to familiarize yourself with his way of teaching and use of language. The Registrar will provide a link once you register.
There are two options:
If this retreat is held in-person, we expect the retreat to be filled to capacity very quickly and we may need to close registration early. If you wish to attend, please register (and find housing as needed) as soon as possible after registration opens. Please do not book lodging until your retreat registration is confirmed. The entire retreat will also be streamed to students who have had pointing out instructions with Rinpoche or another qualified Dzogchen or Vajrayana master.
