New Books from Deadite Press
The sequel to one of the most popular zombie novels of all time in a new, uncut, author’s preferred edition!
In this sequel to THE RISING, cities are overrun with legions of the undead, intent on destroying what’s left of the living. Trapped inside a fortified skyscraper, a handful of survivors prepare to make their last stand against an unstoppable, merciless enemy. With every hour their chances diminish and their numbers dwindle, while the ranks of the dead continue to rise. Because sooner or later, everything dies. And then it comes back, ready to kill.
Deadite Press is proud to present this uncut, Author’s Preferred Edition of Brian Keene’s seminal CITY OF THE DEAD
Demetrius breeds vicious dogs for drug-dealers and dog-fighters. But one dog came out very wrong. The hideous thing that clawed its way from its mother’s womb was like no dog Demetrious had ever seen. It was all appetite and aggression, an abomination from the darkest bowels of hell.
This creature perfectly suits Warlock, a local hitman, who wants to use the dog for a special murder. But things go terribly, horribly awry. The hitman’s body is destroyed and his consciousness becomes trapped inside the demonic canine. Their souls merge, becoming one monstrous, murderous, vicious son of a bitch, determined to exact vengeance upon those who cursed him to this fate. Unless Demetrious can help free Warlock’s soul, he will soon be his next victim.
Andre Duza and Wrath James White present an urban horror novel of revenge, sex, and the beast that is within us all.

“Shane, how do you sleep at night?”
-Jack Ketchum, author of The Girl Next Door and The Offspring
Improve your life through nonstop sex and violence!
Gary is a fucking loser. He spends his days jerking off to hentai and fantasizing about his ideal life. One day while sitting in his hidden spot in the woods, he encounters the perfect girl. She is his ultimate fantasy. The only problem – she isn’t human. She’s an otherworldly creature who feeds on acts of sex and violence. Lots and lots of violence…and she is a complete glutton for it.
Fat Off Sex and Violence is the most extreme work yet by one of the most exciting new voices in horror. Don’t try to resist, give in to your worst instincts. Welcome to Shane McKenzie’s world.

Updates on New Book, New Stories, and What I’m Working On
Let’s get things started:
Alright, now that we have that out of the way let’s get down to the news.
After a very quiet 2012, I’ve had a few releases in 2013. Here’s what’s out so far in case you missed something:
- My fourth book, SHATNERQUEST, came out in April. It’s the much demanded sequel to SHATNERQUAKE. Buy it so I can buy beer!
- Eraserhead Press released an awesome tribute to director David Lynch – IN HEAVEN EVERYTHING IS FINE: FICTION INSPIRED BY DAVID LYNCH. It includes my story HIPSTER HUNTER.
- Issue #8 of THE MAGAZINE OF BIZARRO FICTION includes my short piece THE MOST ACCOMPLISHED CRACKHEAD IN THE WORLD.
- HOUSE OF CATS was translated into Polish for the anthology BIZARRO BAZAR.
Of course I’ve still pumping out awesomely disturbing books on Deadite Press. Keep up with those projects via the Deadite website or Facebook.
You can also stalk me on Facebook and Twitter. I spend too much time there.
I’ve got a bunch of exciting projects coming up. These projects are all in the future and the future is uncertain so don’t ask me when they are coming out:
- A new short story I’VE SEEN ENOUGH HENTAI TO KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING will appear in issue #3 of IMPERIAL YOUTH REVIEW with an illustration by my long-time artistic collaborator Chrissy Horchheimer.
- Issue #4 of SPLATTERPUNK will feature a column I wrote titled, YOU SICK FUCK OR WHY I LOVE EXTREME HORROR.
- I’ve started the first draft of my next book, HOMOBOMB. Look for that hopefully very soon.
- I have several new short stories that are looking for homes or I’m waiting for the final “yes” on. With any luck you’ll be reading HOW I GOT A MY LITTLE PONY TATTOO and THE SATANIC LITTLE TOASTER somewhere soon.
Until later, I leave you with this:

I’m in a Polish Anthology
If you’ve been wanting to read my short story HOUSE OF CATS in Polish, you’re in luck. Apparently it translates into DOM (Z) KOTÓW. There’s lots of other great authors like Cameron Pierce, Carlton Mellick III, Bradley Sands, and Edward Lee.
Check out the awesome cover with art by Ed Mironiuk. Click on the cover to grab a copy but you better hurry up, the printing will be extremely limited.

Some Updates
How is everyone doing out there in internet land? It’s sunny and warm here in Portland, Oregon after yet another miserable and grey winter.
In case you missed it, my fourth novel is out. SHATNERQUEST is the follow-up to my 2009 debut SHATNERQUAKE. Click here to check it out.
I have a new short story, THE MOST ACCOMPLISHED CRACK HEAD IN THE WORLD in THE MAGAZINE OF BIZARRO FICTION #8. You can grab a copy of that here.
I have two new short stories that will be coming out later this year. July will see the release of IN HEAVEN EVERYTHING IS FINE: STORIES INSPIRED BY DAVID LYNCH edited by Cameron Pierce. My piece is titled HIPSTER HUNTER.
My story I’VE SEEN ENOUGH HENTEI TO KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING will appear in a future issue of IMPERIAL YOUTH REVIEW. It will feature a new illustration from Chrissy Horchheimer who worked on SUPER GIANT MONSTER TIME and CRIPPLE WOLF. Once I know more, so will you.
Of course there’s been regular new Deadite Press releases that have kept me busy. Head over to the official website to find out what I’ve up to.
We’re always throwing parties and events here in Portland, OR, so if you’re in the area you should keep your eyes open for some cool shit. I try to keep my event page updated with the info.
The next shindig is The Official H.P. Lovecraft Film Fest Pre-Party/Shatnerquest Book Release Party at the Lovecraft Bar on May 2nd. Check out the facebook event for more info and I’ll be updating this site and Bizarro Central once I get more finalized.
That’s all the important news I got for you right now. Stay tuned. In the mean time, check out this shit:

SHATNERQUEST is out now!
Fuck, it’s been a long time since I’ve updated this place. But that’s going to change. Part of the reason that I’ve been quiet over the past few months is the tons of projects I’ve been working on. The first of these to come out is the long awaited sequel to Shatnerquake. That’s right folks, Shatnerquest is out!
After the apocalypse, three Star Trek fans and their morbidly obese cat embark on a quest to save their beloved idol, the one and only William Shatner, from the hostile world America has become.
But their journey will not be easy, for the wasteland is filled with cannibal cults, Klingon biker gangs, Zombie Borg, and all manner of mutant creatures. And once they arrive at their destination, they discover that William Shatner has been transformed into Shatzilla – a giant 100-story radioactive monster hell-bent on destroying all of Los Angeles.
Now instead of saving Shatner from this new apocalyptic world, these three fans must save the world from this new apocalyptic Shatner. If only there was another giant monster who could take him down…
From the author who brought you the cult hit Shatnerquake, comes another Shat-tastic sci-fi comedy that proves once and for all that there actually is something even bigger than William Shatner’s ego. And it is… William Shatner!

This is just the first piece of news. There is lots more to come…
