Strata Collection From Gunnar Optiks now available for better screen clarity and color accuracy

The Gunnar Strata collection includes three glasses inspired by popular California destinations: Pacifica, Palomar, and Pismo. It features unique shapes and layered metal frame designs for each new, stylish look. The Pacifica and Palomar have a trendy round design layered with magnesium aluminum and stainless steel, while the Pismo has a square design layered with magnesium aluminum. They’re available in standard and prescription variations.

Evercade HyperMegaTech Atari Edition Super Pocket 50 Game List – Limited Pre-orders Now!

Limited to just 2,600 copies for the woodgrain version, Evercade has announced pre-orders for their sister brand HyperMegaTech’s Atari Edition of the Super Pocket with 50 built-in games (I also updated the complete Evercade platform game list here). The woodgrain handheld plays all of the regular Evercade platform cartridges as well. Supersega FPGA Project in Development – All Sega home platforms and physical media supported!

The team at Supersega.com let me know about their new FPGA/ASIC retro console project that will be able to play almost all media and controllers from the Sega SG-1000/SC-3000, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis / MegaDrive, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast. We’ll be sure to follow the development closely.

Supersega.com, an Spanish team of guys born in the 70���s and 80���s who���s goal is to release an ���All In One Sega���s Consoles��� (AIOSC) in the form of a new retro fpga / asic console, is expected to be fundraising this year (2024).

Users will be able to play its own sega cartridges from Sega SG-3000, Master System & Megadrive / Genesis as well as to play its own Saturn & Dreamcast games.

SPECS : TRUE FPGA LOGIC & HARDWARE

The new upcoming Supersega console is based on Ultrascale+ fpga, featuring WiFi, Bluettooth, and a SD card reader writer.

A CD / DVD Reader Writer with a transparent bay is featured. 8 joystick ports allows users to use its original sega pads, while also they can use USB for. Dimensions of the console are 50 cm (width) x 20 cm (deep) x 10 cm (hight).

THE ENGINEERS BEHIND

Leaded by Alejandro Martin, a computer engineer (ex Cinemartin & Tres Telecom) Developer and Tony Hernandez, Cad Designer along with other members like Carlos Lopez and Cristina Burgu��s, the team has many years counting in hardware & software development.

SO FAR SO GOOD

Cristina Burgu��s, public relationsships says: ���Until Supersega does not have a working prototype they will not release any funding campaign. Currently we have almost all sega���s console games up to Saturn in a working playable state, and a few Dreamcast playing so far so good, but until we finish the prototype we will not considering to release the project���

Alejandro words on that ���We had been working on a SS Core from a few years ago. Until now there were been almost no suitable fpga hardware out there but with the Ultrascale+ things changed, and prices seems more reasonable than before, with a minimum of 100 K up to 1M of Logic Cells, now it is possible to do a Dreamcast behavior with the enough speed.���

Evercade announces Data East Arcade 2 and Toaplan Arcade 3 – 19 more games to platform!

Although pre-orders don’t begin until September 26, 2024, and these cartridges don’t release at least until November 28, 2024, Blaze Entertainment has announced Data East Arcade 2 (A12) and Toaplan Arcade 3 (A11) for their continually evolving Evercade platform. These two new releases feature 19 additional games, bringing the total to more than 526 as of this writing. You can see the complete list of Evercade games in my public spreadsheet.

These two releases will work with any of the Evercade consoles or handhelds, but are particularly well-suited for the Evercade Alpha.
