Review: 'Daisy Jones & The Six'

Unless you were born yesterday, you’ve seen it all before. The book by Taylor Jenkins Reid sold over a million copies. The Amazon streaming series won two prime-time Emmys.

Taylor Jenkins Reid got producer credit on the Amazon series. Not all novelists are so fortunate. Novelists typically get “technical advisor” in their movie-rights agreement, which means they might or might not get access to the set - and almost never script or casting approval. The series credits twelve other writers and as many producers. Suffice it to say that movies and albums, unlike novels, are collaborative media.
