You can get it at Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon DE, Amazon CA, Amazon AU, Barnes and Noble, Google Play, Apple Books, Payhip, and Smashwords.
Kobo is unfortunately experiencing glitches at the moment. If all goes well that should get cleared up in a day or two, and I will post here once it’s up on Kobo. If you don’t want to wait that long, the EPUB file from my Payhip store is compatible with Kobo devices.

Question of the Week: Travel Entertainment?
It’s time for Question of the Week, which is designed to inspire enjoyable discussions of interesting topics.
This week’s question: what do you do for entertainment while traveling, whether by car, plane, or train? Podcasts, audiobooks, portable games, that kind of thing. No wrong answers, obviously.
The inspiration for this question was the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
For myself, whenever I travel most of the time I’m doing the driving, which obviously narrows the entertainment options. So when I travel, I’m usually listening to audiobooks.
(The image on this post was an early version of the cover for CLOAK OF DRAGONFIRE, but I decided to go in a different direction. I used it for this post because it was one of the few images of a vehicle I had handy.)

Question of the Week: Hardback Books?
It’s time for Question of the Week, designed to inspire interesting discussions of enjoyable topics.
This week’s question: do you buy any hardback books? No wrong answers, obviously.
I ask this question because I was reading an article about how for many traditionally published authors hardbacks used to be the primary source of royalties, but nowadays for many authors that has been superseded by audiobooks. Since I’m indie, my main source of revenue has always been ebooks.
Anyway, I do buy hardbacks, but very, very selectively. Like, if Timothy Zahn, Jim Butcher, and a few other select authors I’ve been reading for decades have a new hardcover, I’ll buy it. Otherwise, it’s ebooks or paperback. For nonfiction books, I’m a bit less choosy – if I read, say, a historical ebook and like it, I might get the hardback to keep as a future reference book.

CLOAK OF ILLUSION cover image and description
It’s time to share the cover image for CLOAK OF ILLUSION, which you can see below! Still on track to have it out before the end of November.
Meanwhile, here is the book description.
###
A hidden enemy. A bitter price.
My name is Nadia. I’m a Marshal of the High Queen of the Elves, and I’ve lived through some terrifying things.
Including the Mage Fall.
And now, to my enormous annoyance, they’re making a movie about it.
The High Queen wants it to happen, so it’s going to happen.
Except someone has been sabotaging the production, and the sabotage has escalated to murder.
A new enemy is in the shadows, and if I don’t solve the murder, a lot of bad things are going to happen…

CLOAK OF ILLUSION rough draft done!
I am very pleased to report that the rough draft of CLOAK OF ILLUSION is done!
It ended up at about 96,000 words, and I’ll probably shave a few thousand off that in editing.
I’ve also written a companion short story called TRICK OR TREAT. Newsletter subscribers will get a free ebook copy of TRICK OR TREAT when CLOAK OF ILLUSION comes out, so this is a good time to subscribe to my newsletter!
Next week we should have a cover image. Watch this space!

Question of the Week: Favorite book cover
It’s time for Question of the Week, designed to inspire interesting discussions of enjoyable topics.
This week’s question: what is your favorite book cover? Like in terms of the artwork, the design, etc. No wrong answers, obviously.
For myself, I think I would have to go with a hardback edition of THE SILMARILLION from the late 1990s. It was illustrated by Ted Nasmith, and the cover image shows Maglor throwing the final Silmaril into the sea in despair over his deeds. If you know the context of the scene, it’s an amazingly powerful cover.
For copyright reasons, here is a picture of the copy that I actually physically own and have been taking with me from different states and residences since 1999 or so.
