POEM - Negentropy

I’m not worried about being

good enough for you right now,

because I’ve seen the way energy

like yours shapes me over time

I wholeheartedly trust that I am capable

of becoming whatever you need,

and that titan-like confidence in myself

is why you already feel my flawed pulse

thundering under your skin

  

I watch you notice the fullness of my attention

as your mouth spills words for as long

as it needs to;

and yes, I’d offer you this same intensity

in the dark-light of your stir-able nerves

POEM - Incomparable

People can say they love you,

and mean it in but 1 of 20 different ways

People can juggle hearts with ease,

because they’re always juggling their own

People can shut you out like changing a channel,

for they assume you’ll understand their why

And people can change their entireties;

I know, because I too am people

—so as well shall you discover yourself to be

  

It’s enough that something was real

for only that solitary moment

It’s enough that you make it through today
