Scripture for the Third Friday in Advent
Romans 13:12
The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Almighty God, empower all of us in Your Body to put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light so we reflect Your light to the world. For the sake of Him who gave His life for our salvation, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Scripture for the Third Thursday in Advent
1 Corinthians 12:25-27
So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
Lord, as we are each part of Your body, give us equal concern for each other and break down divisions between us that we might serve You to Your honor and glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.

1 Corinthians 14:26
When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.
O Lord, our God, inspire our hearts and motivate each of us by the power of the Holy Spirit to do our part to strengthen the church. For the sake of Him who came so that we might live. Amen.

Scripture for the Third Monday in Advent
Matthew 20:28
The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.
Lord God, we often let our lives become so busy with activities and work and pleasure that we fail to serve You and Your Kingdom. Christ himself came to serve, not to be served. Focus our hearts and minds on serving You—as individuals and as Your Body. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, the Divine Servant. Amen.

Scripture for the Third Sunday in Advent
Romans 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Almighty God, empower us by the Holy Spirit to throw off those things that hinder us and the sin that entangles us so that we can persevere in the work You have called us to do. Through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You forever and ever. Amen.

Romans 16:17-20
I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace...

Scripture for the Second Friday in Advent
Matthew 25:6-10
"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.' 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding...
