50k and an Interview
To commemorate HTDC reaching now over 50,000 downloads on Feedbooks.com, I did a short interview with Feedbooks site owner Hadrien Gardeur.

30,000 downloads on Feedbooks.com
20,000 came and went so fast that I didn't have a chance to even consider the staggering numbers that are now involved with my readers/downloads of my book. 30,000 readers. That's like the entire population of Dover, Delaware reading it. That's a bit staggering.
I'm excited to see how far this all goes. Please keep writing to me. I love hearing what you think of my story.
I just wanted to say thanks to a couple people who've blogged about me recently:

14,000 and counting
It might be silly to keep posting every 2,000 downloads, but I enjoy the little pleasure of the small milestones so here we are again. This month it came a week earlier than the last time, almost a week early in fact.
So it's been confirmed, thanks to a wonderful reader, that HTDC is indeed a default book in the Aldiko app on the Android phone. It just comes built into the app. I wonder what site they're pulling it from and if it counts those books as downloads. Probably not, but it's fun to think about.
I found this video about Aldiko and you'll see in there that I'm in there towards the end of the video on the digital bookshelf right next to Great Expectations, Moby Dick and Les Miserables. How pleasantly odd.
I've received a few more donations from generous readers and have gotten a few more friends/followers/fans on Facebook/Twitter. Keep it coming! I'd love to hear more about who's reading, where you got it, what you thought and anything else you'd like to tell me about. A few more nice reviews have popped up on Amazon from Kindle readers and I couldn't be happier about it all.
Keep reading, keep sharing, keep blogging/posting.

12,000 downloads on Feedbooks.com!

Feedbooks.com logo
How strange that HTDC has been downloaded 2,000 times each month for the past few months. I realized today that my 10k post was Sept 1 and my 8k post was Jul 31 (so close). I've gotten a few new comments/friends/donations/followers on Twitter and I hope you all keep finding me in the months to come.
Someone pointed out that HTDC is one of the default books on the Android phones, though without access to one, I can't know! If someone else has read my book as a default book on an Android phone, please let me know. I'd love to even see a picture of it somehow.
Once again, thanks a million to everyone who's been reading and then blogging/commenting/tweeting.

So, if you're following me @aldermusic, please feel free to follow me @davidbowick as well for more book/writing-related posts.
Facebook Page: David Bowick
Yes, maybe it's silly to have a fan page on Facebook, but why not try it out, right? Come be my fan if you're on Facebook, but better yet, just be my friend!

10,000 downloads on Feedbooks!
Today How To Disappear Completely hit 10,000 downloads on Feedbooks.com! Wow! I can't even begin to explain how crazy this is to me. I've had people in Poland, Germany, Italy and all over the states let me know how much they enjoyed my story and a few people have even been kind enough to donate through this site. Many thanks to everyone who has read my story and especially those who have come to me telling me that they enjoyed it. It means the world to me when you reach out.
So many cool things are in the works for this story that hopefully I'll be able to share with everyone soon.

This whole self-publishing thing has been much more difficult than I originally planned. If anyone out there has enjoyed my novel and knows anyone in publishing, please feel free to pass it along.

8,000 downloads!
As of today, with 8,000 downloads, How To Disappear Completely is now the most popular self-published book on Feedbooks.com! Many thanks to everyone who has downloaded/read/tweeted/blogged or any other means of talking about my book. I've been so overwhelmed by the response to my first novel that I'm completely humbled and thankful.
A million thanks to everyone. HTDC on Feedbooks.com
