Traveling to find the Other Shakespeare

I'm delighted to welcome Lea Rachel to my blog today. She's the author of a new novel about Shakespeare's little-known older sister, The Other Shakespeare. Just the title has me intrigued, so I jumped at the chance when the Cadence group said she might be willing to visit my blog. Welcome Lea, and please tell me how someone from US manages to write so convincingly about the UK.

Must-reads and me

Some books just demand to be read. Their characters are so real perhaps, or their concepts so deeply intriguing. They may be non-fiction or fiction, but they draw you in with their questions or situations and invite you to think. They engage the head and heart, maybe even the soul, making you hear your own voice echo in characters or arguments. And you know they'll end with something deep that leaves you deeply fed.

I wish Divide by Zero could be one of those novels. It felt that way as I wrot...

Why I love Dividing by Zero

My novel, Divide by Zero, has been released by Second Wind Publishing. Just go to my Second Wind author page and find that white cat waiting to engage you. Meanwhile the same cat's invading Subtraction with glee, and my protagonist is about to go on a journey. Want to know who the protagonist is? You may have to wait awhile, but his story's woven from one the threads that broke free in Divide by Zero.

Of course, I get some interesting responses when I mention the title of my book. A popular on...

Relics and Music of Modern Magic

relicsbanner copy
Today I get to post cool pictures in magical colors celebrating the launch of Relics, the first Modern Magics book. Just imagine drawing the curtain back on this image, but what would the music sound like?

When the creatures of myth and magic return to Earth, they're nothing like your mother's fairy tales, or so I'm told, but here's author Maer Wilson to let us in on the music playing over their return. Welcome to  my blog, Maer.

Duct Tape, Materialism, Social Status, and Adelita's Secret

Today I'm delighted to welcome author Christopher Cloud to my blog. I reviewed his middle-grade novel, A Boy Called Duct Tape, a little while ago, and really enjoyed it. But Christopher Cloud doesn't just write for middle-grade boys, and today he's here to introduce the main character, Adelita, from his YA fantasy romance, Adelita's Secret.

About Adelita’s Secret    Lost in a superficial world of materialism and social status—and ashamed of her Latino heritage—seventeen-year-old...
