Just writing against a deadline.

As soon as I finish “White Bride, Black Bride, Raven-girl, Hare”, I will supply said post.

When You’re Glued to the Screen

Over at Walkley Magazine, Darren Baguley writes about managing the time-suck that is the Internet. He asked me (among others) some questions – I fear the point of my life is to be an example to others of ‘what can go wrong’.

The delightful Mr Edward Lipsett of Trident House has purchased reprint rights to “The Coffin-Maker’s Daughter” (from A Book of Horrors) – also kudos to him on being the fastest paying publisher I have dealt with!

The story will appear in translation in or about the March 2013 issue

One Small Step

The lovely Tehani of FableCroft has announced the ToC for her new (early) 2013 anthology, One Small Step. Happy to see quite a few friends in this one!

You’ll note a story by Lisa Hannett and I, “By Blood and Incantation”, a little tale of leeches, magic

I love stories that explore old-world traditions, bringing to light the customs and techniques that are fading fast in the technology-driven world we live in today. In “The Coffin-Maker’s Daughter,” Angela Slatter writes about burial
