Totally worthy …
… go over here and flick a couple of shekels to Michael Kelly’s new anthology, Apparitions II.
Give money, get book, support plucky indie, increase your karma.
It’s all good.

The Witches’ Scale
And so, I have agreed to write a novella for Simon Marshall-Jones at Spectral Press.
He offered me something I couldn’t possibly refuse: this illustration as a cover.
It’s called “Die Hexenwippe oder-waage” (The witches’ seesaw or scale) by Michael Hutter.
I already have ideas and such, but the novella won’t

So last night I was up until 2am working over a story that is due very soon.
It’s one that has required a LOT of restructuring and Frankensteining, flesh-sculpting and strong-arming – in fact, to a level that I don’t normally have to go with my stories. This isn’t

Happy New Year from the Lair of the Evil Drs Brain + Tanith Lee!
Happy 2013 from the Lair of the Evil Drs Brain.
Our plan for this year is for the Lair to be a periodic feature rather than a regular one because, as we discovered last year, life tends to interfere with all one’s good intentions. Also: books and the writing
