On the Morality of Murder

On the Morality of MurderHey atheists, answer the question, is murder good or not? Give me the short answer, yes or no. Well, because how would we know if something is good or bad, moral or immoral if the bible didn't teach about it? Checkmate atheists.

Every now and then I come across such, or similar, displays of mental rectitude by adherents of Judeo-Christian theism on the internet. Given the fact that these queries or memes containing them are very similar to each other I assume that they come from some pseudo-intellectual theistic source, then are unreflectively copied and spread on the internet by people who have a huge problem with independent thinking and therefore rely entirely on the opinion of a so-called spiritual authority or other guru to come up with this kind of idiocy.
Before the above question can be answered in any way, the concept of murder must first be defined.
Murder according to the UN definition is: ‘the unlawful deprivation of human life, with intent to cause death, or grievous bodily harm’. Law, as defined by Geoffrey Robertson, is a set of rules that are created and enforced by social or governmental institutions (and therefore by people) to regulate behaviour. Murder is therefore an act committed against an accepted set of rules.
It is worth adding that statistically, according to Donald Black, 90% of murders are revenge killings - retribution for acts previously committed by the victim against the perpetrator or his relatives. It seems to me that this statistic is quite relevant in determining the so-called morality of murder.
So is murder only proper for humans, and is it right or wrong because it is written in the Bible?
Scientists prove that herd animals are among the most intelligent animals. This is because the group teaches cooperation and collaboration to benefit the group, which translates into greater benefits for the individual member of the group, and an increased chance of survival for the individual thanks to the group.
Ants, bees, termites, wolves, lycas, buffaloes, elephants, chimpanzees, or hyenas, and human animals have proved over the centuries that it is possible to succeed in the age-old struggle for survival by working together as a group.
Ants or bees have created their communities divided into classes. Their groups have slaves, workers, warriors and queens. When threatened, warriors throw themselves at the enemy without hesitation, very often giving their lives in the fight to defend their community. Bees, for example, have a very interesting defensive tactic that they use to defend themselves against their greatest enemies, the hornets. Hornets are the bees' mortal enemies. When they find a bee hive, they can slaughter all the bees inside it in a very short time. So the bees, when they discover a hornet that has got into their hive, immediately surround it tightly on all sides and start flapping their wings, thus generating such a high temperature that the hornet is boiled alive in it. Bees which have taken part in this defensive mission also lose their lives in the process. So the bees carry out a murder on the hornet, defending their community, sacrificing their own lives in the process. Do bees read the Bible? How do they know if they are doing the morally right thing? Why do they sacrifice themselves?
Among vertebrates, interesting forms of behaviour have been observed in Hyenas. Hyenas form very tightly-knit groups, forming family communities. The hyena group is always led by a dominant female. Thanks to their excellent cooperation and understanding of their place in the group hierarchy, hyenas are excellent hunters and are able to take even lions' prey in a coordinated manner. In one such group, researchers observed an interesting case of a power struggle. The group was led by a very strong female, who, however, became increasingly aggressive, cruel and selfish over time. She stopped paying attention to the other members of the herd and, when hunting, attacked other members of the herd and tried to seize the prey just for herself. At one point, the other hyenas, fed up with the dictatorship of the cruel leader, organised a mutiny, attacked the despot together, injured her very badly, threw her out of the group and left her alone on the savannah to die. Was the hyenas' behaviour good or bad? How did the hyenas know what was good for the survival of the group?
I have only given two examples out of an infinite number of similar cases occurring in the animal world, of which man is also one.
Hundreds of thousands of years before the biblical Bronze Age, other hominin species walked the earth; australopithecines, homo erectus, or Neanderthals among others. They too formed communities, interacted as a group, hunted together and supported each other in order to survive. They followed rules that they themselves created in order for the group to succeed in the struggle for survival. Pathological individuals, as in the case of the hyenas above, were eliminated from the group because they threatened its survival, whereas killing for the good of the community was useful.
In Asia, long before the Bronze Age, there were societies that did not know the Bible, which created great civilisations (it is interesting that the authors of the Bible had no idea of the existence of people living in China or India).
Without the knowledge of the Bible, why didn't the people living there kill each other driven by godless selfishness?
In fact, in the times and places described in the Bible itself, apart from a group of Jews in the desert, there were other communities and even powerful states which made their own laws in order to serve the community and within which the community could develop and cooperate without threatening its own existence. The Jews, like all other communities, simply created their own set of laws and rules of group conduct to serve their survival and function. Many of these laws, by the way, were taken by the biblical writers from pre-existing codes, such as the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi. These communities created sets of laws and rules of conduct that they believed would benefit the group. Crimes committed against the set of rules established in a community were severely punished because such acts were harmful to the group.
So is murder good or bad? In my opinion, the correct question should be: is murder useful at the time or not? If the murder is committed for the benefit of the community, then the act becomes morally justifiable for the community. Therefore, the notion of some objective morality is a purely abstract concept. The theistic, speculative way of thinking is for the most part completely abstract. In practice, a given concept acquires its true meaning when applied to a concrete, real-life case, and then these abstract concepts make sense, or not. If they are devoid of practical meaning then they should be abandoned. To pretend that some system based on purely speculative and abstract concepts is reality is a mistake and a lie. On the other hand, a system of concepts that grows out of an observable godless reality, verifiable in a concrete, real-life situation, and whose practicality of concepts can be proven is true, because, as we know, the devil is in the details.

On 11 November 1947, during a speech in the House of Commons, Winston Churchill said: “democracy is the worst form of government, if you do not count all the other forms that have been tried from time to time”.
Democracy, in simple terms, is a type of state system that involves the participation of citizens in the exercise of power. In an indirect democracy, political power is exercised indirectly through elected representatives.
Even more simplistically, it consists of the majority of members of a community electing a leader for themselves. Thus, if, in a given community, the majority are poorly educated, under-educated, unread, or further manipulated by the mass media, such a community will elect one of their number as its leader.
If, the citizens, by now, of the most powerful superpower on earth, possessing the most powerful arsenal of weapons of mass destruction, elect as their leader by vote a lunatic controlled by other religious lunatics, who sincerely expect the end of the world, who firmly believe in the veracity of the gibberish contained in ancient religious writings, called prophecies by them, which gibberish, according to them, foretells the final battle between the faithful and Satan in a real place on Earth, i.e. on Mount Megiddo (this is actually the hill on which the ancient city of Megiddo lay) in Palestine (the word Armagedon comes from the Hebrew word Har Megiddo, i.e. Mount Megiddo), the situation is getting very serious.
The irrational, unreflective military as well as moral support for the State of Israel in its attempt to finally resolve the Palestinian question is a serious sign that the theistic lunatics who have taken power in the United States are taking the content of crazy biblical delusions seriously.
Therefore, as a follow-up to this article, I would like to quote a chapter from one of my books: Human, Arch-human, Satanic, in order to show what gap separates science and religion, and to emphasise that in what, in my opinion, are the most difficult times since the end of World War 2, secular education should be regarded by all as something most essential for the future not only of societies, but of humanity in general.

The Real Satanic Bible
Over the centuries, many great books on witchcraft, alchemy, magic and the occult have been written. Many of them found their way into the Church's index of forbidden books. Some were even attributed to the co-authorship of the Devil himself. However, there is one exceptional book that has proven to have real ungodly power. First, however, it is necessary to provide a historical context to help understand how revolutionary and ungodly theses were contained in this book.
A certain Anglican bishop by the name of James Ussher (1581-1656), calculated on the basis of a chronology based on the 'infallible word of God' that the Earth was created on 22 October 4004 BC, a Saturday, at six o'clock in the evening.
As is well known, this is an undeniable truth revealed to the author of a book called Genesis by one of the desert deities called Yahweh.
In this book, it is revealed that the entire universe was created some 6,000 years ago, in six working days from nothing, and that on the seventh day Yahweh had to rest.
The book also reveals to us the secret of the creation of the first man, who was created from sand, and his woman, created from his rib while he slept. This woman later committed the most terrible crime in the universe - at the instigation of a talking snake, she ate fruit from one of the magic trees in the garden. And there were many magic trees there, each with a different power. And it was as a result of this act that earthquakes, hurricanes, fires, floods, tsunamis occurred, death and disease came into the world and all creatures were doomed to die and suffer. Never mind that it was a woman who ate the fruit. From then on, throughout the ages, innocent bunnies and kittens and even pregnant deer would suffer and die in pain because Yahweh had cursed the woman.
A certain turning point was to occur when the god Yahweh because a few centuries, by means of a spirit impregnated a Jewish virgin who gave birth to his son so that this son could be sacrificed to this Yahweh and killed for three days. As a result of this landmark event, anyone who believes this will be saved from the consequences of the crime of the woman from the magic garden.
For centuries, this was an undeniable truth. Then, in the year 1859, the English naturalist, geologist and traveller Charles Darwin published a book entitled: "On the Origin of Species". This book described the entirely natural process of the creation of new species without the involvement of a god or other supernatural forces. God was simply no longer needed to describe reality. It turned out that reality was best and most accurately described by the completely natural processes of nature and the completely natural laws of nature and physics.
Darwin even included some 'prophecies' in his book that came true. Such as the 'prophecy' that there must be so-called intermediate forms between different animal species in the fossil record. Thus, in 1861, two years after the publication of 'On the Origin of Species', a fossil of an 'intermediate form' between reptiles and birds was discovered in Germany and named Archaeopteryx. In another 'shocking' book published in 1871: "The Descent of Man", Darwin stated that man, the one who, according to the book of Genesis, was to subjugate the whole earth and all animals, was descended from an ape-like animal and his remains would be found in Africa. This is what happened. In 1924, the remains of an 'ape' were discovered in a cave in South Africa and named Australopithecus. It turned out that the 'ape' walked upright, on two legs, and was something 'intermediate' between humans and other apes.
This was another of Darwin's 'prophecies' that came true. Today, the scientific world has thousands of fossils preserved or literally carved in stone (as opposed to mythical stone tablets with commandments engraved with the finger of a god, which no one has ever seen), proving that 'that devil's' theory of evolution is true, that this walking 'holiness' of man is descended from animals and is nothing more than one species of animal. This devil Darwin's book caused shock and holy indignation among the lunatics believing blindly in the "sacred, revealed books". Darwin was considered a disciple of the devil who wrote under the inspiration of Satan to destroy the only sacred revealed truth.
Considering what a revolution in the world of biology and religion and in the mentality of people the book "On the Origin of Species" has caused, how many "good" Christians it has killed faith in, and that it is still destroying religious myths and dogmas, it is safe to call it Satan's Bible. That true Satanic Bible, possessing a truly diabolical power to destroy blind faith and superstition. The work 'On the Origin of Species' is undoubtedly one of the most important books in the history of science. But as we know, science as an enemy of faith is also satanic.
