They're Heeeeeeeeeerrrreeee!

Just a quick post to say my author copies of Wild Blue Under arrived! This is always exciting because, even though I've seen an ARC copy, I haven't seen the final thing, including the cover quotes. So here's what they say:

"Bubbly fun in this sparkling 'under the sea' tale." – Virginia Kantra, USA Today bestselling author

"A charming modern day fairy tale with a twist. Fennell is a bright star on the horizon of romance." – Judi McCoy, aughor of Hounding the Pavement

"A delightful, quirky blend...

And then there were 3

Christmas, my birthday, my anniversary and any other celebratory day you care to mention came to my house today, and my FedEx delivery person played Santa. Here's why:

My 3 books

The ARC for Catch of a Lifetime arrived, putting all three of my books in my hand.

To say I squee'd would be an understatement.

(and if you'll notice, I've also included my genie bottle for my next series – for which I am almost finished book #1. Woo hoo!)

According to Jane… and Marilyn

In Marilyn Brant's smart, wildly inventive debut, one woman in search of herself receives advice from the ultimate expert in matters of the heart. . .

It begins one day in sophomore English class, just as Elliaccordingtojane[1:]e Barnett's teacher is assigning Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. From nowhere comes a quiet "tsk" of displeasure. The target: Sam Blaine, the cute bad boy who's teasing Ellie mercilessly, just as he has since kindergarten. Entirely unbidden, as Jane might say, the author's ghost has...

In Celebration (AKA I love my Husband!)

I Dream of Jeannie Bottle

Yep, I now own this.

Silly, I know. But I LOVED I Dream of Jeannie and now that I'm writing a genie trilogy, well, it was a no brainer.

I have to say thank you to my wonderful husband who not only didn't roll his eyes when I found this online, but was the one to say, "Go ahead and buy it. You deserve it and it's cool."

Really, is it any wonder where my heroes in my stories come from?

Thanks for sharing the excitement!

Crossing Washington Square – A Novel

crossing wash sq.indd

Across Washington Square live two very different women …with their very different love of books.

Some women follow their hearts; others follow their minds. In this "charming, witty, and cerebral" second novel from the acclaimed author of The Professors' Wives' Club, we return to Manhattan University, where two strong-willed women are compelled to unite their senses and sensibilities.

Professor Diana Monroe is a highly respected scholar of Sylvia Plath. Serious and aloof, she steadfastly keeps...

Julie & Julia… and Judi

Okay, perhaps not the most innovative title, but appropro nonetheless.julie_and_julia_ver2_xlg

Last night, a few of my Survivor Girls and I went to see the movie starring Amy Adams and Meryl Streep (yes, I put Amy's name first on purpose. No disrespect meant to Meryl, but Amy is Giselle from the movie Disney made JUST FOR ME.)

I did not want to see this movie. I had zero interest. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I've never been a big fan of Julia Child. (I almost apologized for this to the J.C. fans, but then realized that I don't

Our Newest Addition

EVEN MORE BREAKING NEWS: Salem's name has been changed. She is now Pagan.

And my sister got a kitten on the same day. Neither of us knew the other was getting one! So they now have Porter.

BREAKING NEWS:

Darling Husband has caved in come up with the best idea: get the kids (and the dogs) a kitten. Our other cat, Kimba, came to us in the middle of a snowstorm in 2001 and stayed. He was in indoor and an outdoor cat and on June 12, 2008, he made sure to come home to die.

We were all very sad, but...

FIRST OFFICIAL: Second Contract

I know, the title is a bit cumbersome, but it IS my first official second contract: I've agenie bottle charmccepted an offer for three more books from my publisher, Sourcebooks/Casablanca.

Nolamp earrings, it's not a continuation of the Mer series (yet), but a new one. Think I Dream of Jeannie meets Indiana Jones.  (And, yes, I've already bought the charms you see on these pages for my celebration!)

Here are the working* titles and blurbs for the series:

 I Dream of Genies

When Eden, a genie sentenced to her bottle...
