ROT8000 is extremely clever (for a certain value of nerdiness)
ROT8000 is the Unicode equivalent of ROT13. What’s clever about it is that normal English looks like Chinese, and not like ciphertext (to a typical Westerner, that is).

Is this Presumably Bot-Designed Product Awesome, or in Remarkably Poor Taste?
More on this specific painting here, and a bit about famed Russian (anti) war artist Vasily Vereshchagin. Other works by Vereshchagin suitable for throw pillows: “Selling a Child-Slave““After the Battle“and, of course, “After Good Luck“ Given the current state of Russian nuclear drills and military exercises on the Ukraine border, I imagine that all of this...

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: “The problem isn’t the stupid joke, but the very real assaults the jokes conceal.”
I first wrote about this kinda rapey application of Steve Shaw’s “Psychokinetic Touches” routine back in 2017, and periodically revisit the post to expand it, fix broken links, replace disappeared videos, and so on. Straight talk: this Eminem track really works as a bluegrass tune ♬♫♪
original for those unfamiliar, the medieval Xmas edition for classy mofos, a kinda boring new-jack swingy jazz version, and this one with a sorta fun Ani DiFranco vibe)...

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: Tardigrade Expiration Date ♬♫♪
Good friend (and maven of Arbor Teas) Aubrey Lopatin recently shared this song with me and reminded me I wrote this novella for her and her hubbie roughly one-billion years ago: Expiration Date. In honor of this Season of Joy and New Beginnings, I offer this free read and song to you, my all my Best Belovéd Readers. Enjoy! UPDATE: OMFG! In late December a frozen tardigrade became the first ‘.
