I'm very pleased to be appearing at the Liskeard Live Festival, Cornwall, this Saturday 20th July.

The event is at the Liskeard Library on Barras Street at 12 noon, with a book signing at the Liskeard Bookshop opposite half an hour after the event.

Penzance Festival, Cornwall: Writing for Young Adults, a panel discussion

I'm delighted to announce that I'll be appearing on a panel this month where I'll be discussing Writing for Young Adults. This is at the Penzance Festival in Cornwall, England. Among other topics connected to writing YA fiction, I will cover how I wrote and researched my novels Witchstruck and Witchfall.

Publication Day for WITCHFALL

Writers Who Swear

There have been some hilarious comments flying round the blogosphere recently about swearing and obscenity in fiction, particularly with regard to Young Adult and teen books, though also in wider terms.



I write for Young Adults as well as adults. But my books are generally historical, so the old 'Should this character swear?' issue doesn't tend to come up - except when it's a question of
