Idiot Stephen Marche Reviews "The New Normal"
I don't know what world Stephen Marche lives in, but to here him talk about being gay these days we don't have a single problem in the world. He's says we've become commonplace and boring. And one reason why he doesn't like the new TV show The New Normal is because he thinks the mainstream public has accepted gays to the point of becoming bored with them.
I post about how things have changed for the LGBT community all the time. I try to include those changes in my books all the time. But I al...

Chase of an Adventure Fifty Shades of Gay

Chase of an Adventure Fifty Shades of Gay was released this week with Ravenous Romance. I've posted about it here already and I've explained how it's nothing like the book Fifty Shades of Grey. Other than the subtitle, this is the third book in the "Chase" series that follows the lives of Jim Darling and Len Mayfield, and below are the first two books in the order in which each one was released.
I've found that having a post like this up helps people figure out the order in which the books wer...

Matt Bomer Discusses Growing Up In the Closet...

Are kids gay? Do they realize they are gay at a young age? In yesterday's post I talked about how people get horny at weddings, which is not at all related to Matt Bomer discussing how he grew up in the closet. But there is a small connection between this post and yesterdays wedding post I think is important to talk about that deals with gay kids, the way they hide it, and the topic of bullying. And how gay men like me, as adults, are often targeted in ways most people wouldn't...

Horny Guy Wedding Theory Proves True Once Again

I've always had this theory that some people tend to get horny at weddings, gay or straight weddings. I don't. But weddings seem to make some people crazy. And from my own personal experience, I have never been to a wedding yet where some guy didn't hit on me. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes not. And it's usually a straight guy who came to the wedding with his wife.
Tony and I were invited to several weddings this fall. Yesterday we went to one in Philadelphia for a straight c...

Publisher Steve Berman Says Lambda Awards Are A Shambles
I know nothing about the Lambda Awards. Other than the fact that I was in a book that won a lammy in 2009, the only thing I know about the Lambda Awards is that it is a honor to win a lammy if you're writing something with LGBT content. I was thrilled the book I was in won, and I couldn't have been more pleased for the editor of the anthology, Richard Labonte.
I wasn't going to post anymore this weekend, but when I saw this article I had to put something up for other people who might not have...

Comparing the Price of an E-book to the Price of a Cup of Coffee?

I've seen people compare the price of an e-book to the price of a cup of coffee more than once in the past, and I recently saw it pop up again in a few places. It would be an interesting concept...that is if you like comparing apples with those proverbial oranges.
Now I'll be the first to admit that some e-book prices are over the top and I have passed on more than a few e-books I've wanted to read because I thought they were too expensive. I've posted about this several times. I have, I thin...

"Freedom to Marry"
I have an older gay friend who sent me a crazed e-mail this afternoon about an e-mail he received from "Freedom to Marry." It took four rounds of going back and forth to explain to him that "Freedom to Marry" is working toward a goal of equality, not trying to stop it.
Then I figured if he'd misinterpreted it maybe others did. So I'm copying and pasting the latest e-mail from "Freedom to Marry" below to show that they are looking for support, and they are fighting to have same sex marriage le...

Chase of an Adventure: Fifty Shades of Gay; Not Self-pubbed This Time

(Update below)
My new book in the Chase of a Lifetime series is coming out soon and I wanted to post a few points about it so readers know what's going on. This is the third book in the series and it's titled, Chase of an Adventure: Fifty Shades of Gay.
It's not related in any way to Fifty Shades of Grey, nor is it parody of any kind. In this book the two main characters, Len and Jim, go through some very serious changes when Len's family comes into the picture. For those who've read the first...

Anderson Cooper Tells Star Jones a Thing or Two...
Evidently, Star Jones, former co-host of "The View," seems to think Anderson Cooper came out in public to boost the ratings of his TV show.
Jones previously said on the "Today" show, "I've been in daytime television for a long time. He's a daytime talk show host and when the ratings slip in daytime, the hosts tend to tell you lots of things about them...There were times that you generate information for ratings."
She's either an idiot or she's looking for attention. Anderson Cooper doesn't have...

Captain Velvet's Velvet Box - All Romance Ebooks

I almost completely forgot I have a new release out titled, "Captin Velvet's Velvet Box."
It's sort of a Halloween/costume themed story, but not totally. In fact, having it released this time of year turned out to be fate more than planning. But I like the way the cover turned out with the mask at the bottom. Captain Velvet is an anonymous character who works in an ad agency during the day.
In any event, it's a short story about a gay superhero fantasy, with I hope a lot of humor and...
