Gay/Lesbian Category Amazon Best Books of the Year

Gay/Lesbian Category Amazon Best Books of the Year

Update: Someone set up a petition, here, hoping to get enough signatures for Amazon to reinstate the Gay/Lesbian category. As of this moment, there are 233 signatures. It states they need 267 on the sidebar. I'm not sure what that number means.

I've posted about Amazon removing the Gay/Lesbian category from their Best Books of the Year, here. I recently noticed the topic coming up again and I decided to do a follow up piece and this time...

James Franco's Sex Scenes; Adam Levine Sex Appeal; Pastor Found Guilty;

James Franco's Sex Scenes

I posted before I'm reading James Franco's new novel, Actors Anonymous , and that I would review it soon. I've had a lot of reading to do for work lately and it's been a slow process to the finish with AA, but I'm down to the final quarter and I just wanted to mention the sex scenes in the book for a few reasons.

I post a lot about erotic romance here because I have over 150 erotic romance books out and that's what I do. I've been doing this since college and I often f...

Soap Star Eileen Fulton Performs at The Metropolitan

Soap Star Eileen Fulton Performs at The Metropolitan

When I saw an e-mail about soap star Eileen Fulton in my in-box yesterday, I put everything aside to read it. When I owned my art gallery Fulton used to perform cabaret in New Hope and she would stay at the B&B next to my gallery and we got to know each other in passing and she turned out to be one of the warmest, nicest, people that ever crossed through my doors. I've seen her perform here, and in NY, and her shows are excellent becaus...

Transgender Murder Documentary; Anderson Cooper on Alec Baldwin; Minister Convicted for Gay Marriage

Transgender Murder Documentary

Last night we watched an HBO documentary for the first time titled, Valentine Rd. It covers the murder of transgender teen, Larry King, and the events leading up to his death. I'd been following the story for a while and I new most of the basics, but what I didn't know was how the jury reacted when it came time to hand down a verdict to the teen who murdered Larry King in cold blood. According to the facts, it was pre-meditated, the intent to kill was obvious, an...

The Cheney Sisters!! Joan Rivers Fights Back

The Cheney Sisters!!

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Cheney_inauguration.jpg

Former Vice-President Dick Cheney's daughters, Liz and Mary Cheney, are at odds over gay marriage. Mary Cheney is a lesbian and she's married to Heather Poe (in the article I'm linking to they refer to Poe as Cheney's "partner," not wife...must have been written in a state where marriage isn't legal yet) and Liz Cheney is running for office in Wyoming and she made a statement recently stating she's for the traditional definition of marriage between one man and on...

Pope, Gay Teen, Pancreatic Cancer; Alex Baldwin's Gay Hairdresser; Russia Anti-Gay Law

Pope, Gay Teen, Pancreatic Cancer

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Crater_Lake_winter_pano2.jpg

This article strikes home for Tony and me because we both went through twelve years of Catholic school, and Tony's mom passed away in 2002 after suffering through a battle with pancreatic cancer. So when I read the Pope was honoring a gay teen prodigy for coming up with a cost-effective method that can detect pancreatic cancer in early stages, I wanted to know more about it. Anyone familiar with pancreatic cancers knows that by the time it's diagnose...

Brent Corrigan "Truth"

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Topher_e_Brent.jpg

I'm going to be following this for a while, but I wanted to introduce the basics for anyone who hasn't heard about it yet. Brent Corrigan is an adult entertainer who has been successful in an industry that many say is getting harder and harder to find success in thanks to the Internet and free content. In any event, Corrigan is making a film that's not considered adult entertainment titled, Truth, and he's having a fundraiser at Indiegogo.com in order to finish up and g...

Anal Cavity Searches; 2 New Gay Shows on TV

Anal Cavity Searches

When I read this one I blinked a few times. Evidently, in some places you can be stopped for a moving vehicle violation and they can order a search of your anal cavity.

The Fourth Amendment protects all citizens from unreasonable search and seizure by the government. It requires that the greater the intrusion upon the person, the greater must be the reason for conducting a search. Is there ever a good reason for this kind of search? You can read more here. I...

Adam Levine Sexiest Man Alive 2013

From what I gather, it hasn't been officially announced. But it's been buzzing around that Adam Levine is supposed to be this year's People Magazine choice for Sexiest Man of the Year.

Gossip Cop reports The Voice coach and Maroon 5 singer will be given the title on Nov. 20. People confirms to us that the announcement will be "next week" and the issue will be on stands on Wednesday.

In the past, Gossip Cop has predicted several winners ahead of time...

Fakery in Trad Publishing Again? Alec Baldwin's New Gay Slur

Fakery in Trad Publishing Again?

It's becoming an ongoing deal to read something about a non-fic book picked up by a traditional publisher that turns out to be questionable at best, a complete lie at worst. It happened with James Frey, it happened with pen namer Margaret B. Jones, and to a certain extent it even happened with fiction Fifty Shades of Grey because it was never really disclosed on a grand scale that 50 Shades started out as fanfic of Twilight with a totally different title....
