I know that headline sounds absolutely ridiculous, but it's true. People like this 50 Cent person simply do not get the fact that openly gay men don't date women...ever. He also doesn't know about transphobic slurs either.

I guess I must be missing something. I've never met a straight guy who likes to cuddle with other men, but according to this article I'm in the minority. And this place where they do this is local for me, only about a half hour away from New Hope.

Jussie Smollett Is Cleared Of All Charges
I didn't really wanted to post anything about this, but it happened, and it's pop culture news. So here it is.
All charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped. Prosecutors said this:
After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollett’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case.

Spain's First Gay Police Wedding
This was nice to see, especially since I've been following legalized marriage here on the blog since 2009.
Spain may have legalized same-sex marriage in 2005 (the third country in the world to legalize same-sex marraige), but it has only just celebrated the first ever same-sex marriage between officers in the country’s national police force this weekend.
You can check it out, here. There are some excellent photos, all of which show how dignified this event...

I've been posting about this topic for a long time, and I was just talking about this with Tony earlier today. The only surviving large gay venue left here in New Hope...The Raven...just closed up indefinitely and no one knows whether they will reopen or not. At one time we had 3 or 4 gay venues and gay people came from all over the country to patronize them.
This is just one statement from a Washington DC gay bar.

TV Show About Gay Men: 'The Other Two'
I'm very curious about this one. There's a new TV show on Comedy Central called, The Other Two, that's being referred to as a sardonic and sincere portrayal about gay men. I know nothing at all about it, but I'm definitely going to check it out.
By making Cary a working actor, a rather niche slice of life, The Other Two also manages to comment not just on a very specific type of gay man, but also on the way Hollywood (mis)understands LGBTQ repres...

This is something totally foreign to me. I had no idea anything like this was happening.
New York City’s LGBTQ center has come under fire for hosting an event urging the community to #WalkAway from the Democratic Party.
However, there's an update that states the #Walkaway event was canceled.
It's a very long, political article that's an interesting read, especially if you didn't know anything like this was going on.
