Leadership History Lesson for March 24th

On this day in leadership history in 1938, the U.S. asked that all countries help refugees fleeing from the Nazis. In Jewish history, the pivotal time is known as the Fateful Year.

Whats the leadership lesson? As an honorable leader, what message or cause do you need to rally others to support? Someone needs to speak up first.

Leadership Coaching Clip from Cujo Teschner

Recommending that you watch this excellent clip from my friend and coach, Robert Cujo Teschner in his Friday Roll Call on the topic of Performance – Part 1. Some of his reflections in this clip include #1: Leaders at all levels are giving in to the notion that we’re too busy to take the time to set ourselves up to win. Reflection #2: In the process, we’re allowing ourselves to play for average, as opposed to striving for excellence. Please watch and post your wisdom and experience below too.

Leadership History Lesson for March 17th

On this day in leadership history in 0461, Bishop Patrick, St. Patrick, died in Saul. Ireland celebrates this day in his honor. According to Patrick’s autobiographical Confessio, when he was about sixteen, he was captured by Irish pirates from his home in Britain and taken as a slave to Ireland. He writes that he lived there for six years as an animal herder before escaping and returning to his family.

Whats the leadership lesson? Honorable leaders are resilient! Spread the word.

Celebrating Lees POW Release Today

Every year, I stop and intentionally celebrate the anniversary of regaining freedom from my POW experience, and heres some silent footage during my release. My group of POWs in Vietnam stepped forward on March 14, 1973 and ever since the lock has always been on the inside of the door. Thanking God again today for my safe return.

Purchase any of my books to learn more about my POW experience.
