On This Day in Leadership History, June 14, 2015
On this day in leadership history in 1951, “Univac I” was unveiled. It was a computer designed for the U.S. Census Bureau and billed as the world’s first commercial computer. What challenging steps did it take to achieve launch day on a project like this one?
It was likely that the developers did not fully realize the broad impact of their achievement in our society. If you believe in an idea or project today, stick to it and see it through to completion!

Great visit with CMSgt Laura Calloway and her husband Terrance. She is the Command Chief for the 42nd ABW at Maxwell-Gunter AFB, AL.

The Daedalians hosted the Eagles for breakfast and I sat with two old friends, retired colonels Lou Silvestri and Stan Phillips. So good to rejoin at Founder Flight after many years away.

With my two sponsor/escorts for Gathering of Eagles. Major David “Jekyll” Davidson on the left and Major Matt “Swat” Kenkel on the right. Swat did a great interview for the audience and Jekyll kept me on schedule. What an honor and a blast!!

Honored to be hosted by Col Bill DeMarco, Commandant of the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB AL

The Eagles have landed and it was a great honor for me to be with this group. We are missing Dr. Roscoe Brown, he came in the next morning.

Back with my old bird the F-4C Phantom and host F-16 Pilot, Maj Matt “Swat” Kenkel.

Honored to be with Famous Tuskegee Airman, Redtail flyer from WW II, Dr. Roscoe Brown.

When it was my turn on stage, Swat does a great interview, making it easy for me.

At Gathering of Eagles party with old friend and now Mayor of Montgomery, Todd Strange. Here he presents his challenge coin and pins me with the Mayors pin.

With my shadow Maj David “Jekyll” Davidson at the Wright Flyer.
