Congregations Of The Dead

Congregations Of The Dead is the second of the Griffin & Price novels.
In the small town of Wellman, Georgia, Sheriff Carl Price wants nothing more than to ticket speedsters and stop drunks from killing each other in the local bars. Unfortunately, things aren't working out for a simple life. His best friend, private investigator Wade Griffin, has taken on a case he normally wouldn't, to try and build his P.I. business and get out of the mercenary game, which leads to trouble with a major regional crime boss. With a missing teenager and a child abduction to solve, and tension brewing from the other-worldly Blackbourne clan, Griffin and Price have their hands full. But something dark rears its head in the form of a new mountain church and its mysterious and charismatic leader, Reverend Lazarus Cotton. Once more, Griffin and Price must use the deadly skills learnt in their past, and call upon even deadlier associates when the problems escalate out of their control. This book is a redneck adventure-horror of the darkest kind. In the small town of Wellman, Georgia, it's a damn hot summer.
It is not necessary to read the other Griffin & Price novels, BLIND SHADOWS (The first novel) or, A HELL WITHIN (Novel number three) but both will be available soon and rumor has it BLIND SHADOWS will come with a very special low price on the Kindle.

If you are interested you can buy it right HERE.

DINNER FOR ONE

This is coming soon. This is non-fiction.

Dinner for One: A Journey to HealingForthcoming from James A. Moore and Haverhill House!"Dinner For One is a love letter from a man to his late wife. A way of saying farewell, but never goodbye. It's a record of love and loss and what it means to be human. Jim Moore is a large man with a large heart, and while that heart has been broken, it is, as Hemingway put it, 'strong in the broken places'."-- From the introduction by Charles R. Rutledge.

So apparently the Republican Party wants me dead.

And by me, I mean Diabetics everywhere.

You doubt me? Here: READ THIS.

I'm good, I'm covered. I have medical insurance. but if you and yours are having trouble with coverage, you can thank these asshats.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE remember this when the midterm elections come around.

it isn't just diabetes. that's just the easiest for them to point a finger at.

YOUR vote matters.

PLEASE remember that when you decide how you want to vote, I will NOT be voting with the sort of vile scum that want me dead because of a medical condition or who are JUDGING ME because of that same medical condition.

and in the meantime, if they are so worried about the Affordable Care Act damaging taxpayers, I think we should absolutely make certain that they PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH!!!! Please consider adding your name to this list.

MERRIMACK VALLEY HALLOWEEN BOOK FESTIVAL 2017

MERRIMACK VALLEY HALLOWEEN BOOK FESTIVAL 2017Author Christopher Golden says, I founded this event in 2015. Last year, the turnout was huge and I promised that this year would be even bigger and better. I intend to deliver on that promise. Last year, a number of authors debuted new books and chapbooks at the event, and I know the same will be true this year. I anticipate a great many debuts and exclusives—including something of mine, but that’s for later.
The MERRIMACK VALLEY HALLOWEEN BOOK FESTIVAL 2017 will be held on Saturday, October 21st, 2017, from 10am till 4:30pm. Once again, the event will be held at the Haverhill Public Library (Haverhill, MA) and is FREE and open to the public. Sponsored by River City Writers, Andover Bookstore, Haverhill House Publishing, and--of course--Haverhill Public Library.
So…who’s going to be there? We’re expanding a bit this year, adding a number of writers primarily known for their mystery and thriller novels, and our total number of attending authors and artists has passed FIFTY. Among them, we’re thrilled to welcome back Joe Hill. Joe’s new book, Strange Weather, debuts around the country on October 24th…but we’ve made special arrangements with Joe’s publisher and our friends at Andover Bookstore to have Strange Weather make its official debut three days early, at the Merrimack Valley Halloween Book Festival. Joe will be on hand to sign them, of course.
We’re also thrilled to welcome Alice Hoffman, who will join us as part of her tour for her own October release, The Rules of Magic. One of our panels during the festival will be “Joe Hill & Alice Hoffman: In Conversation.”(Please note...the Joe & Alice: In Conversation event WILL require registration. The event is free, but due to space concerns, you will have to register in advance for that event. More information to come.)But I know you want the full list of attendees, so here you go, first for newsletter subscribers, as promised!MERRIMACK VALLEY HALLOWEEN BOOK FESTIVAL 2017
