New York Times!

Last week, Raina and I were interviewed for a profile piece in the New York Times! The article takes a look at the married life of two cartoonists, and talks about what we were up to at the New York Comic Con. Head over to the link to read the article!

Halloween Music Mix

Halloween Cover

I love making and sharing mix CDs/music playlists, so last year I made this one for Halloween. I'm reposting again for anyone who missed it (or met me since last October)!

Yaytime Halloween Mix

I tried to go for indy stuff and deeper cuts, since I assume everyone already has classics like "Thriller" and "Monster Mash." Let me know if you enjoy any of the tracks, and if you have your own Halloween mixes, send them my way!

Teen Boat cover

Teen Boat!, written by Dave Roman and illustrated by John Green, will be published in May 2012 by Clarion Books.

We have a small batch of advance reader copies that we can send out to teen librarians, YA reviewers and bloggers (the book is the equivalent of a PG-13 movie). If you aren't already on Clarion's Young Adult ARC list and would like to receive an advance reviewer copy of Teen Boat!, send an email to yaytime[at]gmail[dot]com with the following info:

Full name, snail mail address, and URL to the site or publication your write for.

This batch of ARCs is limited, so I apologize in advance if we don't get you a copy. We will definitely keep your info on hand for future giveaways early next year! Thanks in advance for helping us spread the word about Teen Boat! It really means a lot!

Celebrate Jim Henson

In honor of Jim Henson's birthday, check out "Time in a Bottle" one of my favorite Muppet Show clips.

There's also a great exhibit about the life of Jim Henson at the Museum of the Moving Image that I really need to check out before it's too late!

Not a huge surprise that we had a great time at the Small Press Expo, since it's one of our favorite shows! It's always great to catch up with friends, discover new cartoonists, get completely inspired, and feel good about the future.
